I hate you, also I'm taking you off my friends list on BL.

But only because I am mad jelly and don't want to see or hear how good this is...:D

Still over a month away and he's overpaid as Gibbo said the real price is £669 but because of supply and demand all retailers have added a premium to the first batch.

This is the reason we'll keep paying more for stuff as some people can't see the wood for the trees and hold off.

Nothing wrong with paying a premium to get stuff first.

No there isn't, but it certainly doesn't help future pricing. Also ASUS have shown of late absolute shocking quality control in some of their newest monitors so they don't put much confidence in being an early adopter.

Not just Asus, quite a few of the big names seem to have some rather less than ideal quality control with their latest lineups :|

Dunno if I've just been lucky but I've never had a panel with significant IPS glow or backlight bleeding - my worst panel is like 20% as bad as the pics nexus posted the other day.

IPS can suffer the "glow" quite badly but the majority of panels out there are fine. All the IPS monitors I have seen/used so far have had very little to no glow. Personally I can't go back to TN panel though.

OLED can't come soon enough!

i believe it has an inbuild retardation feature where if the bot detects nexus is on the server and your score is approaching his then it will ease up on your hacks to allow him to regain a considerable point over head....

did you read the small print? :p

;)

:D

nice!

Just as you have posted that, I received an email stating a refund for my LG one!

CBA getting another LG one so going with the asus version, although very hesitant due to their shocking RMA/service :(

LoL accuracy for the 27:1 round was 3%, Nexus I want my money back!!! :D

Tough! :p

LG is absolutely shocking as well :(

I would much rather have the dell monitor over the other 21.9 aspect ratio monitors purely because of their service but the dell U29 has very high input lag :(

This.

Personally I would wait :p

Understand the comments but the price difference is worth it if I get it first. You never know how long the next batch will take :)

The good thing is that if it's not worth the price I paid for it then it will get returned - simple as that.

I will be sure to post my first impressions regarding the monitor.
