Do you scrunch or fold?

When recycling/throwing paper in the bin do you scrunch it up or fold it?

In before toilet roll.

depends on how much space i have in my bin lol.
lots of space = scrunch
little space = fold

toilet roll = fold. how can it be any other way? o.0

I get a trainee to eat it because it has "sensitive" information on it that is so super duper secret that even burning it won't protect it. So I get a trainee to eat it.

PS: sometimes the trainees really do actually eat paper ! Some are a bit smarter than that though

Any paper that does not have my name on it and if its not already recycled paper i put it in bin. If its already recycled paper i put it in the bin.

If it has my name on it then ill separate it from my other rubbish and tear it all up by hand but i tend to just keep all my bills for years in case i need them as proof.

If its junk mail it gets ripped up, if it's documents they're filed or shredded.

Scrunching is a waste of space. You're increasing volume from something like 1cm³ for an A4 sheet to about 60-80cm³. Which means you're going to have to empty your bin something like 70 times more regularly. Ok you can squash it down by sticking your foot in the bin but then it releases stale seminal odours as you push the air out.

I don't recycle, but when throwing paper in the bin I tend to scrunch it up and go for the 3 pointer.

Fold when recycling.

We shred all paper waste, then store carefully in a basement lockup, when the lockup is full we light it to recycle the house above the lockup. Then start filling up the one next door.
