Hey guys... What do you think the bold part of this poem means? Thanks

At dawn’s awakening, I heard your whisper

Across the ocean’s mournful wail

Your heart longs for a love yet to be found

But I have heard your yearning heart

And followed your footsteps in the sand

Hoping to meet you and end your journey

With the deepest love, waiting when you arrive

Where you’ll find my waiting arms

And my soft lips to shower you with kisses

I’m here to give you passion unsurpassed

And tenderness to sooth your longing heart

With this love as deep and vast

As the ocean you love so much

We are at an impasse on our journey

To a beautiful love we’ve discovered

That was awakened by the oceans shore

In line 6 they are hoping to meet you to end your journey of finding love.

In line 14 This journey is now at an impasse because the love has been found.

Throughout the poem I get suggestions that one is sand and the other is ocean. It seems the shore is where a connection happens, both literally as in the water and sand and metaphorically as in you and them.

Did you have sex on the beach?

Providing that the use of 'impasse' is correct and deliberate, I'm reading it as an unrequited love within the context of romantic fatalism. The author/narrator is pining after something that doesn't exist and cannot be.

The alternate reading is where the use of 'impasse' is incorrect, in which case something like 'intersection' -- although ugly -- would have been more accurate.

When you meet that special someone and poo through their letter box to show them what they mean to you, if they live on the beach?

I'm a well-good writer so I know about this stuff, yeah. The last three lines of the poem (what we writers call 'the end bit') are the poet expressing his belief that he likes big butts and he can't deny. Remember, I'm a writer. That means I'm righter than you.

I WENT TO THE BEACH AND YOU LOOKED RIGHT HOT
'WANT IT UP YOU, TARTY?' I SHOUTED LIKE AN OCEAN
'NO THANKS, YOU GOBBLER' YOU SCREAMED
IMPASSE ALL UP IN MY GRILL LIKE JIMMY HILL
