Windows et al are largely irrelevant hence mentioning android but I agree ios has better battery life than any other mobile OS.

My phone has 40-50% charge left at the end of the day and is charged every night so my phone lasting more than a day offers no real benefit - slimmer / lighter does. I think the average user would be the same. If you need more battery life there are options that don't mean an unnecessary chunky phone for the rest of us.

So the iPhone 5s is chunky?

@Robbo, that video is pretty impressive. I'm guessing to help get the tech cheaper it will basically be the standard in 2015, and start with the iPhone 6 which should be great for the industry as a whole.

Definitely thinking of going for the 5.5", but that would mean i'd want to replace my iPad Mini with a larger iPad. Oh well, progress in some way. :p

At the end of the day as the screen gets bigger you need the device to get thinner to counteract it so it's still easily held onto with one hand. I hope they announce the iPhone 'Air' (5.5") at the same time and also there's a 16gb option, I don't need 32gb and would rather not pay for it when what I really want is the screen size.

I hope there's no 16GB option and it goes 32, 64 and 128 because 16 really isn't enough for people that make full use of the device.

I hope so, 16GB has always been enough for me. 32GB costs too much and if Apple makes the move toward cloud storage then I dont see 16GB going anywhere.

Well I'd say whatever the base model is, it's going to cost £569 so I'd prefer that to be 32gb rather than 16gb

They'll want to offer more than the PATHETIC free 5GB, if they are serious about going to Cloud storage.

When I can pay £5 for 1000GB from Google? No chance.

Yeah Apple's pricing is still a bit naive, everyone offers better prices and there all better at cloud storage/running massive ass servers. There not as good as Amazon, Google, MSFT at these things and expect too charger you more.

Also quick questions, have you guys ever queued up for an iPhone before, given the 5s wasn't on pre-order if I do like the iPhone 6 I'm thinking to just wake up a bit early and head down to regent street.

Anyways does anyone have any advise on this, which store is better to go Regent street or covent garden, and can I get 2 iPhones (one for the misses) or does she also need to come with.

If only it were £3.99 for 200GB :p

Sorry, it will be for the new iOS 8 iCloud. ;)

Loving the sapphire glass, but battery wise my z1 will take on any iphones at the moment. Bigger screen and still last 2 days on normal use.

Heavy use a day and a half with lots of photos, messaging, maps, etc.

This. I hope the base line is 32GB I don't need more than that but 16GB id pointless IMO

If the 16GB version is cheaper then it's not pointless? I too would be looking to purchase a 16Gb one simply because I have no need for any more than 16GB

If Apple introduced the 32GB as the base model, the price would be that of the existing 16GB. They don't typically raise prices when bumping the line.

I think that's what people are saying... 32GB is more spacious and would be an excellent entry product.

I think it should move to 32GB, 16GB is getting small on a high end device. Lets say you have 12GB of real space. Depending on the amount of apps/photos you could be left with not much, I know I personally have 9GB of apps on my Nexus 5 and 3-4GB of photos/videos. 16GB for me personally is not enough anymore.
