Changed my mind, MGS series music in general is freakin' sweet.

Changed my mind again - Air Combat on PS1, seriously! So much 90s :cool:

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnng almost too awful, but brilliant nonetheless.
 
Last Ninja on C64 is quite a special memory for me from when I was very young.

Diablo 1 is probably the next one. If I hear it now it still gets a reaction out of me, it contributed massively to the mood/atmosphere of the game.
 
So many good soundtracks..

PSOne era was really my favourite time for game OST's. Anything by Namco pretty much was awesome. Ridge Racer R4 being probably my fave.

A few more

Streets Of Rage series (particularly Dreamer from SOR2)
Revenge of Shinobi
Street Fighter EX series had awesome soundtrack.


Battle Garegga on the Sega Saturn especially lvl2.


Plenty more I could list but those really stick in my mind

I suppose the songs themselves aren't bad, but there aren't enough and in a game the size of Fallout 3 having about an hour's worth of music really starts to grate after a while. I had the same problem in New Vegas. :p
 
Final fantasy 7... could listen to any of the songs and it would take me right to the scenes in the game!
