Massive news folks, exciting times ahead for AMD users.

As you can see the list has grown, and we have some very cool games coming. The list is divided into 3 groups: games that are released, unreleased, and games that are not yet confirmed to support Mantle, however developers have signed for private AMD beta program.

Games in beta program may or may not support Mantle, but these games will be Gaming Evolved titles for sure. The third group includes GTA5, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, COD:AW and Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars. Mantle support for GTA5 could be a game-changer for AMD.

I see that list and i think, feed me a diet of Mantle.

Mantle support in The Sims 4 is MASSIVE! My other half will be delighted, even though she doesn't really understand what Mantle is. I will have to school her in the fine arts of the newest API. :D

That's a lot of EA games.
Really can't see GTA V supporting Mantle, but I hope it's true!

EA are a huge company and I'm glad that AMD have them as a partner because they publish a lot of games. Probably the biggest publisher out there.

EA are a big player (Arguably the biggest now), but they're the reason gaming is going down the pan (Which is nothing to do with Mantle).

Tomb rider :D Gta5

Don't forget star wars, one if not the biggest title coming next year.

All these great games and mantle is dead next Yeah haaa

Sleeping Dogs on Mantle please. Square Enix are a close partner of AMD so I'd say that has a great chance of getting Mantle integration and as for GTA 5... Wow if AMD pull that off, Mind = Blown.

Yeah will be a massive eye opener, I also think COD will be if that is true. Aren't they in bed with Nvidia?

Are those frostbite games going to have reworked memory management?
GTA 5, based on GTA 4 will be a different game with Mantle.

Agreed.

As for that I don't know but Johan said they're considering it to me on twitter so im guessing it will happen. Don't worry i know AMD are pushing them to do it and i will keep trying to push it as well via twitter and the forums. Not sure what if any effect my contribution will have, but you have to try.

They are, however Mantle is like the Kryptonite for GameWorks. The negative GameWorks effect just won't work on Mantle as it's a different API. The only ones getting hurt by those tessellation effects will be Nvidia users. :p

If Mantle was available on all GameWorks titles I'd be a happy man. Even if it meant we didn't get the nice graphical effects that come with it.

Another Mantle thread from Matt.

Why don't you just have ONE mantle games thread where you can edit and add them as they are announced, then ONE more for the patches, fixes, bugs, unsupported issues etc etc for when the games are released.

Too many exciting new games to tack on to an old Mantle thread, that has loads of replies and pages. This is big news for AMD users and it deserves its own thread this time so fellow gpu users can discuss it, if they wish.

Gta5 should be completely different performance wise without or without mantle. Things have changed a lot since gta4.

Why should it be completely different? Games can and do run like crap now (Watchdogs) and rockstar aren't exactly known for their epic PC ports. I was playing the GTA 4 DLC the other day, it's still a crappy performer.

You already have threads with these games tacked in though (Not all of them, that said)

Like it matters? Is this new thread hurting you? Is it wasting space on your server? You don't need to enter this thread, we didn't force you.

Just continue your way onto some nvidia news?

I'll tell you this now, if it's a Gaming Evolved title you can be sure it will be well optimised performance wise. AMD GE titles almost always work well. If it has Mantle support then well, it's a given.

If it is/was a GE title (Which I can't imagine it will be unless AMD are heavily investing ; MMJ will be pleased) then I agree.

But left to their own devices, Rockstar launching GTA 5 on PC, I would have very low hopes for, and things changing from GTA 4 don't change my opinion. I'll take GTA 5 and Mantle with a massive pinch of salt for now.

GTA4 was a direct port from the ps3 version. It ran on just two cores and hated multi gpu

Gta5 will run on the more updated rage engine, games like max payne 3 used it and ran great. You then have next gen using same x86 so development should work more easily.
Crossfire will work and your i7 will get used. So it will in theory work much better.
