Germany looked better in my opinion in this game than Argentina

They did overall having said that Argentina had the better opportunities in normal time and should have really won the game in the 90mins.

Germany deserve this WorldCup though, they played the best football throughout the tournament. Super Mario goes home a hero.

And if Argentina had have taken their chances they would've won 3 or 4-0 in normal time.

Only because Germany were playing crap. Seriously, that Schurrle attack was basically the first time they got the ball at half time and just attacked at full pace in the entire game, and they scored straight away. If Germany did that from the start, Argentina would simply have been behind early and chasing the game. You can't counter attack from a kick off. Germany played directly into Argentina's hands. Slow attacks, let the defence get set, midfield peeing around on the ball waiting for something to happen. It's what let the defence have such an easy time AND led to them conceding the ball in midfield prime for the counter attack all game long.

If they weren't giving it away poorly in midfield, they wouldn't have been countered over and over again.

Despite the score that was thrilling. Thought Argentina was going to steal that. What a finish though. Some great calls by the officials too. Glad the European and best team got it in the end.

Shame really that after all the Messi build up from pundits during the competition, he not only didn't finally achieve God status by scoring and lifting the cup, but he executed one of the most amateur free kicks ever.
