Just downloaded this tonight for my ps4 and it's amazing, just like the original but built from ground up with a new engine looks as good as any other platformer I've played :)

And not to mention it's unbelievably nostalgic ...

Anyone else got it or thinking of getting it , if so what's your thoughts ?

Thinking of getting it, but tbh £18 is a bit rich. Not sure it warrants more than what Strangers Wrath HD came at (£12 IIRC)

ps3ud0

I've already bought it and I don't even have a PS4...

£18 isn't a bit rich at all. Stranger's Wrath was £12 because it was a re-release where most of the game was already done. They just got it working on the PS3/Vita and upgraded some of the visuals.

New 'n' Tasty is a new game from the ground up, and it'll be a fairly long game as well.

It takes me about 30 hours to finish the original with 100% completion, and as far as I know they've added quite a bit more stuff to the new one.

I don't think £18 quid is rich at all ... I thought it was quite cheap I bet the original was atleast £30 when that came out and that was in like 97 :)

Got it and love, agree with everything you've said. The price is quite high but I thought sod it and don't regret it.

I'll defo be buying this, it will kepe me going until Destiny comes out :D

Also I don't think £18 is too much at all, the original was a brilliant game and this has been rebuilt from the ground up. Happy to pay for it, especially considering that if they get enough sales they will start work on an Abe's Exoddus remake as well :)

I bought this last night. Had £20 left on PSN after Destiny Guardian Edition. At first I thought £18 was too much but then I looked at vids online and realised it had been built completely from scratch - and it sounds like they really care about making it an authentic experience of the original game - something often rare in game devs.

So with that said, I snapped it up. Didn't try it last night as I was out (getting hammered in a squash tournament as I had to play the coach of the club :-( )

Going to give it a bash tonight with any luck - if not then over the weekend. Probably just play Destiny a lot until the Beta ends though but looking forward to this

It's well worth the 18 quid it's not a rehash at all as people have said been re-built from the ground up :) looks good too ! So nostalgic remember playing this as a kid !

Rehash, rebuild, same thing. Why couldn't they make a new game.

No it isn't. This is a new game. If you mean new in the series, they will do but it's all about funds, and they had a vote for what they should move on to after Stranger's Wrath, and remaking Oddysee was the top choice, with Exoddus being the second, so it's what the majority of their fans wanted.

After Exoddus they will be using the profits to make a completely fresh entry in the series.

It's been re-built and made better. They've taken what was already a great game, one of my fav on ps, and made it even better which I didn't think was possible and it's cheaper then original was ... And it's not as if the game was released a year ago and they're just released a next gen version :)

One thing I always think of with something where they remake an old game - since when does being a new IP, or a fully original release mean it's worth more money?

It's still a brand new product, developed from scratch and therefore warrents a standard price - Just because it's mostly built using the original game from 16 years (roughly?) ago it doesn't mean it's only worth just a few quid.

If people are worried about the price then fair enough - but that's just my thoughts on it anyway.
It's priced based on the effort put in - which is probably a lot more than AAA devs anyway

Playing it on hard. Feels just as frustrating as I remember, shouting at the TV when making the same mistake over and over again and being sent back to checkpoint. Playing on hard though, as intended. Single shot kills n that!
Completed Rupture farms and had 25 casualties, and I thought I'd found all the secret places! :(

Hoping to get the platinum for this down the line!
