What's this AMD vid about?

Maybe advertising for the upcoming 'new' A10 7800 APU?

Looks like a locked 7850K?

If not maybe a release for the A8 7600 announced last year?

You read some of the comments? Lol :P

This advertising campaign is nothing short of cringe worthy, just hurry up with K12 and stop making people hate you.

Pretty damn good promo of nothing ;)

Another AMD promo video about absolutely nothing

Noticed in the first video the white dudes represent CPU cores and the red dudes represent GPU cores.

In the new video, the main dude is both white and red, so maybe this is a visual representation of a more unified APU, CPU+GPU.

After the past few AMD promotions, ('New' FX 9590 basically same CPU with water cooler, and the exciting laptop APU from space) I am expecting it to be disappointing anyway..

Best guess is APU A10 7800K and A8 7600. Would love it to be something better, but have learnt to keep expectations low now lol.

I wonder if it has to do with them moving back to full blown 'cores' and ditching the module design?

That was my thought but AMD have always referred to their 4 module architecture as '8 core' anyway so who knows, perhaps now that modules are a certified failure AMD are happy to acknowledge them.

they're developing a 16 core cpu .... close to finish, with another one in development with 24 cores, but these will probably still be slower than my old i5 :D:D:D

In the first video though, there were four white 'cores' which were cpu cores. So 12 white cores in the truck image should be 12 cpu cores.

God I hope not, AMD's biggest issue right now is that their loading too many cores onto their CPU's and not concentrating on IPC like they should be.

If it is a 12 core CPU it will probably be clocked at 2.5GHz and have close to the same IPC as Sandy Bridge, if that :(

Is it just me or do all AMD advertisements feel cheap? Instead of doing these "teasers" why not just come out and say what the product is?
