Which 780?

So thinking about upgrading my 770 GTX to a 780 GTX, what card would you recommend? I'm limited on GPU space to 290mm max length and only 2 slots high.

I've been looking at the Asus GTX 780 Direct CU II OC, as it matches my mobo nicely

It's a nice looking card and a good boost in performance over the 770.

As rumors are getting quite strong now on Maxwell, it might pay to hold out for a bit to see what's what. I imagine the 770 is coping pretty well still in all games, so no real loss in waiting.

I'm tempted to wait, however the cost of the new cards is going to be pretty high. I could keep a 780 GTX for a few years before having to upgrade again.

Run into a problem with the Asus card, the heat pipes sit on the top of the case (Corsair 250d)

How about the MSI?

Would you guys be interested in reference design or similar to reference design (quality is fine), brand new product at about £320 delivered?

Please let me know as were trying to get a good deal but we need to buy big volume to get the price down a point we can offer such an aggressive price.

So 780 3GB stock speeds, reference design type cooler, 2yr warranty at £319.99, would you buy, yes or no?

If I was looking to get another 780, then I would almost certainly buy that.

Around that price point they should fly out.

Is that the own design cooler? Pretty much a reference blower in black and without the window?

I would deffo buy a 780 at £320...But I have just got an MSI 780 ( £360) I think it was from you guys...and you're hardly going to let me return it just so I can get a cheaper one right ? lol

They probably would knowing OCUK but by the time you pay return postage your only saving about £20 and getting a (slightly) lesser card.

Well the MSI is superior, this will be essentially a reference card and stock clocks. We still do not have a confirmation if our supplier will do the price we are requesting, its quite a difficult target for them.
