I am going to Ibiza for the 3rd time a week on Monday. Really looking forward to it but trying to sort club tickets is strange.

The clubs all seem to be 'jack of all trades' now by the looks of it. Dubstep, House, Techno, Trance, Minimal all at the same club on different nights. Plus there seems to be no hard dance music at all!?

When I went in 06 we did a Goodgreef night, Tidy vs Extreme euphoria and Judgement Sunday with Lisa Lashes etc. Instead everything seems to have been replaced with 'big house' (what I call commercial cheese dance) There are still a couple of trance nights but nothing heavy unfortunately.

Or are there other smaller clubs that I am missing?

hard house scene is dead

i'm currently listening to sasha and pete tong b2b on last nights essential mix. it's at privelage, cream, amnesia. i would certainly check out privelage and source a john digweed night (he usually does a night at carl cox's space residency) it won't be a hard house night but digweed rarely dissapoints.

also check out a sasha 'last night on earth' event as he's spinning the best stuff imo atm (although the pete tong em isn't all that tbh) i think you will struggle to find a hard house night but any night in space, amnesia etc should be decent, sweaty and expensive.

When I went last year my favourite night was probably Van Buuren's A State of Trance event at Privelage. Played plenty of classics along with some new stuff.

As cm1179 said though hard house is pretty much dead.

Sorry I meant dead in Ibiza.

Really enjoyed space as well, standing on the terrace as the sun went down and the music transitioned from a slower chilled out beat to a deeper hard hitting sound. Got talking to 2 Mexicans as well who were hilarious.

I said earlier in the year I wasn't that bothered about not going this year but as the summer is here and I see photos being uploaded weekly from friends and people on facebook it brings back all the fantastic memories, great island if you stay away from the trampy west end.

Pretty much this. Privilege is your best bet. Followed by Space.

If you want something with a heavy bass Hardwell delivers, but that does cross the border with your commercial worries.

I would go for the techno scene personally. Still not popular enough to attract the morons (but you are in ibiza)

Nights I would recommend:

Tuesday: I am Hardwell @ Ushuaia or Together @ Amnesia.
Wednesday: Ibiza calling @ Space
Thursday: Enter @ Space
Friday: Judge Jules @ Paradise (as you mentioned Judgement Sunday)
Saturday: During day has to be Zoo project at night nothing jumps out.
Sunday: Amnesia or Space

I am more into my deep house though so my personal choices would differ slightly.

Yeah Privilege and Ushuaïa are closest to what you want though its not what it used to be, armin and hardwell, etc. seem to be at Ushuaïa a lot at the moment. Not a great fan of hardwell but seems to be current flavor of the month.

Yeah way too many people I know seem to be out there at the moment, hard to resist the temptation to join them.

All about Hideout festival, but again that is Deep house orientated.

Or Vegas...

If you want hard house though creamfields is a place to be. They have their Xtra Hard tent.

Privilege doesn't offer much the week we are there (9th - 16th) If anything it would be 'sunk' for Menno De Jong on Tuesday - but Tuesday we are doing Chase & Status, Pendulum, Andy C & Showtek at Amnesia.

Ushuaia doesnt play anything hard by the looks of it

So far we are doing

Sat - Arriving at 8pm so probably just drink
Sun - Avicii (NOT my cup of tea but there's 8 of us) then Space
Mon - Crasher Gatecrasher
Tue - Tomorrow Amnesia - ...Fatboy slim & Carl Cox are also on at Space but it will be house/techno sets instead of Fatboy slim dance goodness
Wed - ?? Maybe Madness at Ibiza rocks
Thurs - Cream Amnesia
Fri - WAR (Zane Lowe) at Ibiza rocks then Judgement Friday at Es Paradis

Does showtek still play hard style like he used to years ago, or is it just usual mainstream stuff he plays since booya went massive?

It'll be Booya crap unfortunately. If they play any hard style a la Sensation black 06 in Amnesia, then I'll eat my own ball-bag

Imagine if this was dropped in Amnesia! The roof would shoot off

I didn't think anyone listened to this kinda stuff when they weren't gurning their nose off?

I had never heard of this before, but I know of loads who went this year and all went crazy over it. I think I'd prefer to spend the extra and go Ibiza again tbh...

But yes, Vegas over everything.

Should have done tomorrowland there was plenty of that stuff being played on the side stages.

They've been banging on about Ibiza all weekend on Radio 1. I'd quite like to go, but I'm somewhat put off by the costs. Hundreds and hundreds on clubbing. I think you have to really like that sort of music.

Hard House..

KUTSKI
TIDY BOYS
ALEX KIDD
ANDY WHITBY
STEVE HILL
MARK EG
PROTEUS
CALLY GAGE
DANNY WILLIAMSON
SHAUN T
PHIL MACKINTOSH

That's a fair old line up as far as I'm aware.. Creamfields 2014.

On topic..Together Tuesday @ Amnesia were the best of my Ibiza nights.
