MotoGP 2014 Season

Good news - and the move that I thought Cal should have made last year. Be good to see how he does.

Have to agree...

The LCR Honda always seems to be the best of rest over the last few years, I think Cal has much more chance at LCR than at Tech3 to get some wins under his belt.

suddenly 2015 is looking really rather good :D

this is the ducati press release..
Ducati Corse announced today that it has reached an agreement with its factory rider Cal Crutchlow to terminate, ahead of time, the contract that ties the British rider to the Italian team in MotoGP for 2014 and also for next season...

So will he even be in there colours the next race? it doesn't sound like it

What about the rest of this season though, ShakenNstirred's post makes it sound like he's out of Ducati with immediate effect but I wonder if the press release was just constructed/translated poorly? It wouldn't make sense for cal to agree to no moto gp ride for the rest of this season

He had until the 31st July to bail out of his Ducati contract early, after that he was tied in for the duration, he could well have decided that sitting out the rest of the season just so he could be rid of Ducati, was a price worth paying.

We'll find out soon enough any way, there's only a few days till the Red Bull Indianapolis GP.

He needs to take advantage though. Honda have shown their high expectations in getting rid of Bradl. Cal must have front row starts and podiums and regularly beat at least one Works Yamaha more often than not.

So will Cal be riding the LCR Honda at the next race?
I just hope he doesn't fall off to much.

There'll be a lovely atmosphere in the Duc garage till the end of the season, he's going to feel about as welcome as a fart in a space suit. :p

even before this he hasn't been made that welcome
he wasn't invited to the ducati bosses birthday party, everyone else was and in a team photo he was missing from that also.
so its been on the cards for a while.

on a side note
Stefan Bradl has signed for Forward Yamaha to replace Edwards next year
