Just to clarify, as long as the person in question isn't asking you to go to their website and pay for images or tout for business it's fine.

I remember when it all kicked off in the Photography forum. Thank god the rules are clear now!

A 22 year old who is "pleased" with his dishwasher...anyone else find that a bit odd?

Not really. I'm pleased with everything I own that isn't malfunctioning or performing below my expectations. I can be pleased with the performance of a good pair of shoes yet it doesn't mean I have a foot fetish.

Bought fans from OcUK, they came highly rated for low noise high performance:

Upon installation (while eating the Haribos!) I realised that those highly rated reviews were a pile of crap as far as my configuration goes. At close to full speed they're louder than my old Noctua fans and one of the 120mm was DOA, just stutters and tries to spin up but fails...

Packed them back up ready to get a refund, must do that shortly.

In the meantime I needed fans so a quick trip down town and:

Now these are more like it., quiet, plenty of air on the 140s and static pressure for the 120s. Will be ideal for the CPU cooler upgrade soon.

Ah yes, the corsair fans are pretty good. I got the high performance SPs and just halved the voltage though, so I can get the extra power if I ever need it.

I have the PL-2 noiseblockers and they are great. Very quiet, my pc is almost silent on the low fan speed setting on my 650D.

I found them still noisy compared to the rest of my system with voltage adjustment. I use software, not the 650D fan controller as my case is one of the first revisions that had the dodgy fan controller and Yellowbeard of Corsair promised to send the fixed controller out which never arrived... May his beard be shaved one night and shoved up his buttocks.

Anyhoo, the construction of the Corsairs seem much better too and the damping sections are less fragile.

I bought some of these from OCUK last week when they were on offer, wasn't really paying attention to my temps beforehand so can't say if they're doing much but they don't make too much noise unless I crank them above 75%.
