£1000 Spec Check

Had a look. Im very much doubtful about "free ram" with a GPU. Just doesnt make sence. Im assuming its an error on the embeded image code

based on the "RAM" issue above . Came up with this build.

Slightly better SSD. Pre overclocked bundle so better preformance. Slightly lower spec GPU. But for your budget it matched nicely and will still give excellent gaming preformance

Looks pretty legit, its in the title that it comes with free 8gb 2400mhz ram. They have done this before with other items like motherboards/SSDs and so on.

It's a really good offer!

No need for a ODD these days really, unless you have a specific need for one? Windows can be installed from a USB stick, quicker, and easier imo

That cooler won't fit in the case.

Well this chap has something like 200 dvd's although he does have some consoles which could be used for them instead. Up to him really though, at £12 it doesn't really affect the budget.

At the moment I'm thinking of keeping the 120gb ssd and putting the extra money towards a 144Hz monitor, he's happy enough to get another ssd at a later date for more program space.

Also anyone got any idea if a 750/850W PSU would support 2 r9 290's for CF?

Ah okay - 850W PSU will support Xfire 290's just fine, 750W may be pushing it. DVD drive is probably needed then
