The top mesh is black also so makes what you can see seem black.

I decided to change my room around, bought a 2 meter desk and a 1 meter desk and made an L shape, then i have another 1.5 meter desk behind me too...
This is my main desk though now
a much larger version... apologies for the poor quality, I couldn't be bothered to sort out the camera for the pic
The mirror will be coming down and some shelving put up, also
the table on the left will have a test bench on it as soon as the stuff arrives for it. the table behind will be my work bench.

I think I need to clean my desk again...
AX860 that I haven't got around to selling yet... (only been a couple of months since I replaced it lol).
Server on the left hasn't been plugged in since the day after I got it from my old workplace.
Ipod dock on top of that server is rarely used now.
Laptop bag on the right has a dead laptop that belongs to someone else, he doesn't seem to want to take it away so it may be getting recycled soon (with him being warned first).

Finally got my desk cleaned up a bit so I could take a pic or two (not the best photographer though...)
Maybe one day the area around the desk will be clean enough for me to take a pic of the whole scene!

Current Desk, couple of years old now so replacing at the weekend, trip to B&Q/Homebase to grab some materials and DIY the new one!
That looks like my desk but in black with a raised shelf for the monitor (held up by bricks?) that mine didn't come with

The raised shelf was my own creation (well a £3 shelf from ikea) couple of spare bricks and the height is perfect! Its a nice keyboard for the price, even survived a recent Cat + Coffee Incident!
