ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

One thing about this caliphate thing I don't understand, is it a call to protect just the Muslim homelands or is it an intent to turn all non Muslim countries Muslim and continue to punish and behead those who refuse to convert?

They lay claim to any land which has been at some point Islamic, including Spain (Al Andaluca). Don't think the Brits in Marbella will be happy about that.

Ok, so the young hotheads who blurt out that they want the flag of Islam flying over Buckingham palace are actually going against the caliphate?
 
Will anything ever get done to stop whats happening or is every nation waiting to see where it leads? Seems madness whats going on, all the equipment they have captured, amercial guns, oil fields, tanks and all the rest of it.

Why are we not scared? They have a growing army, crossing borders killing who is a none beliver in a manner so backwards, have 2bn and backing from other countries they could case some serious problems. Why are we and the rest of the world watching all this happen and not trying to stop them??

Madness, cannot believe this is allowed to happen given the past 10+ years in that area, with what the US and UK have gone through, are they letting it all go to waste?

Should Turkey be worried, could it defend its borders against ISIS?
 
IIRC if ISIS go after Turkey , they would enact the NATO accord , given the Ukraine situation , NATO are itching for a legitimate fight.

They stole that money from a bank but what is it worth, they have neither goods, services or assets unless renegade(mad men) count as services. You may a well ditch the money and just say they have countries backing them.

In all seriousness though they stand no chance, they would/will be squashed, you need to understand the American military machine, when that goes down we may a well have Armageddon.

It's a show of strength, they are hurting because they once ruled Iraq and now they have been tossed aside into oblivion, if you seriously think they will take on the west though, well they stand no chance.

NATO unfortunately are spineless. It will be left to US and UK, with maybe small help from other contries in the form of planes or jets. If it came to that.
 
add in france and maybe grmany - your looking at quite an array of effective airpower. france already have covert boots on the ground (as has the uk and usa)

Got to remember, who have ISIS been fighting really? Mainly armless civilians. Occasional militia with a few weapons, no one with any real organisation, training or backing.

Armies of the West would obliterate them, given the chance.

Not to say they won't put up a fight, they can be a huge nuisance.

Well one of them was clearly a complete nutter. Four of them were sane, and the other two I'm not sure about.

I wonder how hard the presenter had to look to find the nutter tho :p Clearly he was a total ISIS sympathiser.
 
Sooner they are dealt with the better. Happy for those who want to live like that to leave the UK . but they won't be content with the land they have.
