Today is the day I lost respect for the British police

Surely that's a good thing?

Not if you are harassing your girlfriend and then need a CRB!

Though I am not sure getting the pin removed would be of any use anyway as allegations also appear on a eCRB so the initial complaint would be there too wouldn't it?

lets say you get stopped for an argument with someone, however the other person started it the police do a search and its says harassment how would that be interpreted ?

Well as it wouldn't be a caution or conviction for harassment I'd imagine it wouldn't hold much weight when it came to deciding on the course of action.

Its does hold weight, it can be brought up in court to aid a conviction, ie to show your a bad person to help speed up convictions etc... it shows up in criminal checks etc...

To some extent, I'm starting to see your point, OP.

However, it bothers me that you've said "there's no proof" a few times regarding it being you making nuisance calls.

Because if you actually did make the calls, but it's unprovable, then you are exactly why these notices get issued without due process. Because you need to be told to stop being an arse.

From my understanding it can be brought up in court to aid a conviction in relation to the original allegations, it would be of no use if they wanted to convict you for beating a random bloke down the pub because he spilt your beer.

So you see that the person has a harassment issues against him are you really not going to dismiss that ?

It sounded like you meant an argument with a random person do you mean an argument with the person which the PIN relates to?

I never made these calls, I was told by the officer that she suspects that I did. either you have proof that I did or I didn't. The police themselves told my there was no proof, but they still issued the pin.

And in unrelated issues to show bad character, but what if you are innocent? why should I have this against my name.

And what if you didn't?

Are you planning on committing any crimes in the near future?

that's not the point, the point is if your walking down the road and someone chooses to start an argument with you the police are called they check you out and you have a harassment warning you really think they are going to dismiss that? or look the other way.

Or you go for a job that requires Ecrb and they ask you about it,if they don't like it they can refuse you employment.
There is a huge problem with police pin and their abuse in this country.

So, what you're saying is, both of these scenarios have a reasonable degree of likelihood of occurring for you in your life before you get the chance to appeal them or get them removed or whatever?
