Surely that's a good thing?
No, because what if its untrue? the person is penalised.
What if I said you are harassing me I get the police to issue you a pin, I do not even know you, how would you feel.

Are you telling us that you think the British are a joke on the world stage, and it's because British men don't file charges against women who kiss them in nightclubs?
THAT IS DEFINITELY HAPPENING FELLA.![]()

I'd think you were a complete **** and steer clear of you.
Surely that's a good thing?
Surely that depends on how the person reading the eCRB interprets the information given?
lets say you get stopped for an argument with someone, however the other person started it the police do a search and its says harassment how would that be interpreted ?
Well as it wouldn't be a caution or conviction for harassment I'd imagine it wouldn't hold much weight when it came to deciding on the course of action.

Its does hold weight, it can be brought up in court to aid a conviction, ie to show your a bad person to help speed up convictions etc... it shows up in criminal checks etc...
So you see that the person has a harassment issues against him are you really not going to dismiss that ?
To some extent, I'm starting to see your point, OP.
However, it bothers me that you've said "there's no proof" a few times regarding it being you making nuisance calls.
Because if you actually did make the calls, but it's unprovable, then you are exactly why these notices get issued without due process. Because you need to be told to stop being an arse.
From my understanding it can be brought up in court to aid a conviction in relation to the original allegations, it would be of no use if they wanted to convict you for beating a random bloke down the pub because he spilt your beer.
It sounded like you meant an argument with a random person do you mean an argument with the person which the PIN relates to?

And in unrelated issues to show bad character, but what if you are innocent? why should I have this against my name.
Are you planning on committing any crimes in the near future?
that's not the point, the point is if your walking down the road and someone chooses to start an argument with you the police are called they check you out and you have a harassment warning you really think they are going to dismiss that? or look the other way.
Or you go for a job that requires Ecrb and they ask you about it,if they don't like it they can refuse you employment.
