Hello occasional cinema goers!

Let's cut to the chase. Pitch Perfect is without doubt the single best film ever made in 2012 featuring actors appearing in that film.

Synposis
Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Who is in this flick?


Those people, probably. People with voices doing the singing, all of them roaring their lungs like sweaty socks to a dustmill.

Look, I'd bang Anna Kendrick as enthusiastically as the next guy, but at the end of the day the film is just not as good as Bring It On.
 
Quite obviously not the best film of 2012, let's not get hopes up although it is a cool film.

I've got to admit, right at this moment, I can't think of a better film in 2012 that had this cast in it either. Fingers crossed the 2nd movie is just as good!
 
I just don't see what all the fuss is out Anna Kendrick. She's meh at best no matter how many times she bites her bottom lip. Had to be said.
 
This became my new guilty pleasure (others include Legally Blonde and The Princess Diaries) when I saw it for the first time last year! Can't wait for the 2nd one! Hmm, I might watch it again tonight! :D
 
Just noticed the "trailer" for PP2 is not the real trailer. There isn't even a trailer out for it yet. Someone just took scenes from the 1st one and added the extra words themselves.
 
Oh its this rubbish... The other half watches this garbage. I have no idea why. I want to bash my head against the wall whenever she switches it on. It is staged, badly, and acted out, badly, while pretending to be a reality show, badly. Truly pointless.

Oh, its not this rubbish. :p

I think you are getting this confused with something else. I'm a 21 yo male and I have no shame in admitting I like this film.

You are correct... Videos/images dont load at work, and I'll be damned if I'm going to read a Mag post too closely. My guesswork did not pay off. :p
 
Watched this a few weeks back, here's my review I put in the "what did you watch last night" thread as a plot overview:

Confused said:
A [boy/girl]* from [the wrong side of the block/an upperclass upbringing]* joins a [dance/singing/sport]* group, to [fit in/be accepted/serve as punishment]* where they become involved in an on-going battle with their arch rival [dance/singing/sport]* group. Battling fighting within their group, and the charms of a [boy/girl]* within the rival group, who they are forbidden to become involved, the groups work their way through [local/regional/national]* championships, reaching the finals, where they are pitted head-to-head against their arch rival group, battling for the ultimate title of best [dance/singing/sport]* group.

The ending:
The [dance/singing/sport]* group wins, and the lead [boy/girl]* succumbs to their love for the [boy/girl]* from their rival group.

But yeah, I enjoyed it :) Got chills running down my spine a few times when they were singing some of the songs!
