Hi,
Brother needs a card that can easily handle 1080p video content from HD files to actual Blu-ray discs. He's a bit tight so he wants to stay under £100 - in fact he wants to go as low as possible! he's not a gamer so just something that can handle video playback without overheating and dying. His previous card's fan failed and the thing rocketed to 100c and died the other night.
I'm after a card myself for gaming and have a top limit of about £150. Monitor resolution maxes out at 1600x1200 (CRT) so I'm hopeful I can get sorted for the money? Current card is a GeForce GTX 460 v2, so something that blows that away would be ideal.
Buying later this week so happy to canvas a few suggestions.
Thanks for your help.
