Ferguson and Michael Brown

According to the Police Chief there was NO connection between the robbery and the Brown. The officer involved didn't even know about the robbery.

But he wasn't shot whilst running away. He ran away and then turned back around.

I didn't say he was there. Regardless, if the guy ran away and turned around (especially if he put his hands up) that doesn't (IMO) warrant unloading a barrage of bullets into him. Whether recently assaulted or not, if he's just ran away from you, you are not defending yourself anymore.

But agreed, witnesses will be problematic.

Moral of the story. Don't assualt an armed police officer.

The witnesses say he was shot at and apparently shot whilst running away, then he turned around with his hands in the air and was shot dead.

The police have been especially vague on that point. Take from that what you will

you'd think after the amount of people getting shot, when a cop says stop.....YOU STOP!

He did. And then he was shot in the face, with his arms above his head.

Was this before or after he attacked the cop and tried to take his gun?

There's absolutely no evidence that he ever attacked the officer. The police never claimed that.

The autopsy is out, and there was no gun residue found on him, indicating all the shots were from some distance.

Race war... Lets do this...

black cop shot bad black man = ok
black cop shot bad white man = ok
white cop shot bad white man = ok
white cop shot bad black man = riot

thats what happening right now

Afraid it seems so.

I don't see why it matters that he's a black person... He's a guy who got shot.. sorry for the families loss but I don't see how attack the police and looting shops lol will make up for this loss!

The attention this story is getting annoys me. "The shooting of a black teenager...". The media behave as if shooting black people is the one thing no one (other than black people) should do!

I could be wrong. However I just find it extremely hard a veteran cop of 6 years, with no prior, or even a complaint, woudl do this without a valid reason.

One of the stories I heard is cop sees Michael and friend walking down middle of road, pulls up to them, tells them to get on the pavement, as he drives off he gets word of the robbery on the radio. He identifies these two as possible suspects, swings car round. As he tries to get out Michael slams door in his face and hits him, then runs off. Cop gets out of car, yells freeze. Michael turns round. Then just runs at cop, cop unloads on him.

Stinks of heavy handed, trigger happy cops under a seige mentality. Nothing new in the US. The second autopsy showed no evidence of a struggle on the kids body and he shot him after running away. Where was the immediate threat to the policeman. Dont blame them for standing up the authorities otherwise it'll just get brushed under the carpet like normal.
