Yes / no? Any Gallardo owners here who can give more info on what they're like on the UK roads?

Not sure if you're serious but...

My friend runs a car hire company (Audi R8, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc, 911).

I designed his website many years ago and instead of payment, I asked to hire the cars (one a week) for about a month or so.

I was lucky enough to have the Gallardo for 5 days.

I wouldn't say I was overly introverted but the Lambo made me feel absolutely ridiculous. Parking was an absolute nightmare as you'd have all eyes on you. People are always pulling out cameras when you've stopped at the lights (which is all the time in London).

I was an absolute spectacle *all* of the time.

Don't get me wrong, the drive was fantastic and as experiences go, it's definitely up there.

If you're thinking about buying a Gallardo I'm guessing that money isn't really a factor but you definitely have to factor in the awful fuel economy when driving around London.

It might be that you *want* to get noticed but if not, there are plenty of other options out there (same performance but less aggressive styling). Audi R8, AM Vantage / Vanquish, 911 Turbo.

Edit: Misread OP and read "UK" as "London"... Apologies

Are there nice roads around, Bromsgrove?

Yes and no, around the town its like a minefeild of potholes, but once you get out the town center and heading into countryside areas theres some amazing stretches of road.

Get an R8 with mag-ride instead.

It's an option, but, the only R8 I like the design of is the v10 spyder, which, I think prices me out.
