Which make of car has the rudest drivers?

I find it hard to classify any group of owners as particularly rude.

However, I do notice cars with bright DLRs more than others when they're right behind me - often, until now at least, the drivers of premium cars. Also, I find 4x4 drivers pretty oblivious. I guess that is somewhat rude as it is inconsiderate of other drivers.

A pet peeve of mine: coaches. Around Snowdonia they are a nightmare. Many of them drive too quickly around the lanes. Funnily enough, people in camper vans/towing caravans seem quite considerate around here and often pull in.

haha the other day coming back from my parents house I saw an old VW camper van driving rather slowly. on the back window it read "If you think this is slow... wait till we get to a hill!" xD I did chuckle and thank the lord the road opened up to dual lanes on our side there :p

MPVs, I don't think they're intentially rude but rather inept at spacial awareness particularly at blocking side roads in traffic.

I must be the worst though as I have a white 2l tdi Audi and Range Rover Sport

White van drivers the worst by far! Always in a rush tailgating and the amount I see run red lights is unreal.

Poverty spec Bmw 1 and 3 series and Audi A3 drivers. Mainly women I notice seem to think because it's a premium brand that it must be faster than most other lesser cars and u should move out the way despite the fact they have a bog standard deeezel.

Nissan Qashqai mostly driven by angry council estate scum who buy a 4x4 to try and feel a little more premium and important but then get angry when they can't overtake u in there 1.6 dci.

All the new Chavved out Corsa's that have that stupid Vxr body kit on and black wheels with a 1.2 85bhp engine in it. All driven by under 25's with there shades on tailgating people trying look cool in front of there mates.

Rant over :p:rolleyes:

It's all psychological, people see these things because they look for them.

BTW, I drive a BMW and I'm not rude, so you can **** right off.

No it's not. in my 50 mile round trip 5-6 days a week just cruising along it's the same model of cars over and over. On my commute there's a set of lights 2 lanes to go straight on and 1 to turn right and u can guarantee nearly every single day a Bmw or an Audi will get in the right lane to go right and attempt to get in front of me to go straight ahead.. There that important they cannot wait 1 car length so they get in the wrong lane and then attempt to have me with there 140bhp tractor. It's like Groundhog Day!

I "cut" someone up this morning.

2 lanes merging into one. I over take the peasant in the Corolla on cruise control. I am doing around 40 they are probably around 35, I'm about 5/6 past them quite easily with plenty of space until the merging point but not this peasant decided to speed up.

So I just cut them off. Their own fault and I think it ended up actually being quite close.

As several have noted, it does seem to be that the Audis have taken over from the BMWs.

To me, it's generally the view that "if I've got a premium car so I'm more important than everyone else, so get out of my way".

I do make a point of driving like a **** when I have the BMW ;)

Have to say after spending some time driving in US, particularly in Vegas on a weekend I find our rude drivers over here pretty timid!

If I was u I would wait for that big promotion and you will be able to get a 320d which elevates u to upper class so u get your own lane on the motorway "the fast lane" and u have the rights to ignore the Highway Code and push peasants off the road if they dare try and slow any of your 140 horses down

Sounds like you have serious issues with people with better cars than you.

I tend to think that people who drive expensive cars work in well paid high pressure jobs. That drive and ambition boils over into their driving style. So I don't stress about it and just adjust my awarness and drive to accommodate them. We all have bad days.

On the contrary. Some of the best driving I've witnessed has derived from some expensive cars, the likes of which have owners that cherish motoring and their vehicle in general.

I don't dispute that stressful jobs can lead to stressful driving though.

not really mate i can afford a used 320d or to lease a new poverty spec 1 series any day of the week but my ST220 is faster and a nicer place to sit in the leather Recaro's. Plus i only keep cars for 12 months anyway that's the reason i dont get a new car as i would not keep one for 2/3 years lease's due to getting bored real easy. My mate has a 3 series that cost twice as much as my ST220 and its drab, boring and slow. Don't see the appeal and why most drivers of them have to be idiots on the road.
Now if its a 335 or an m3 etc then i understand driving like a idiot "i would if i had such a fast car" and i will gladly move out of your way and admire your car as u fly past me but dont see why people who drive poverty spec model's suddenly think that everyone who does not own a BMW or Audi should get out of there way.
I never see Mercedes or Volvo drivers etc driving like that

Would you like another chip?

Red bus drivers, total idiots followed by Audi drivers, usually white 2ltr diesel, all models then the usual octavia/mondeo/prius minicab drivers .
