AMD Radeon R9 295X2 to Get Promotional Price, Open to All

AMD announced a series of retailer-specific promotions for its flagship Radeon R9 295X2 dual-GPU graphics card. The card, which launched at US $1,499, will be available for as low as $999, as part of retailer promotions. End users (you), and not just OEMs, will be able to buy the card at the three-figure price. The card will ship with its usual Radeon Rewards package, giving you access to over a dozen free games. Based on a pair of 28 nm "Hawaii" GPUs, the Radeon R9 295X2 features a total of 5,760 Graphics CoreNext 1.1 stream processors, 352 TMUs, and 128 ROPs, split between its two GPUs, and 8 GB of memory across its two 512-bit wide GDDR5 memory interfaces.

Hi there

Serious question and be realistic guys, no £100 comments.

What price do you want 295 X2 to be in the UK delivered? It won't be cheaper than a 290X so use common sense when posting. :)

Twice the average 290X price

The AIO cooler adds to the price of the 295X2

Two GPUs in one box on a single board reduces the cost compared to a pair of single 290Xs.

£750

Basically 2x 290x, given the cost of developing and manufacturing the card and extra cost of the cooling. However, as a negative, you could have better performance with 2x 290X.

So i feel it would be wise to have the 295 X2 marketed as the single card option for 2x 290X and not a separate performance card.

just under the price of 2 290x's, makes sense because otherwise people will just buy 2 normal ones and deal with the small nuclear inferno that is the airflow inside their case

Hi there

We shall push AMD to allow us to hit £599 re-sale, so far we have £799 agreed, I reckon I can improve upon this. :)

I think £499.00 (500) would be OK, not great, but OK.
Based on todays prices something around £550, but I still think all top-mid and high end GPUs are overpriced.
I was going for 3x290(X) to replace my 2 titans, but I'm going to wait 2 more weeks to see if Nvidia comes with something new.

do the 295 X2 for 650 to 700 quid, this has to include VAT and i'll buy tomorrow.

the 7990 runs too hot so i'm looking to replace it

It is $999 in USA.

$999 / 1.65 = £605.45

Add 20% VAT = £726.55

Add Shipping = £750 ish!

£799 is pretty much the US $999 after conversion, VAT and shipping/duties.

If we get £599 agreed, we will be selling it way below USA pricing and £499 would be miles below.

So I very much doubt £499 is remotely possible, £599 is a real push as at $999 in the US they are moving quite well.
