ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

Aid workers, journalists, people with family there, antiwar types, people who actually live there themselves, etc etc

UK Citizens who are there are and in the immediate vicinity of the ISIS soldiers are a) with them b) UK forces watching c) really ******* stupid and don't like their head attached to their body.

I am presuming we would know where b) are before bombing so we will either be killing terrorists or people who will be dead soon anyway. :D

why do you think that we haven't managed it in a single bombing campaign in history yet.

heck and that's even assuming we hit the right target.

Think about how much better we could make the world, if only we had a low orbit ion cannon.

No one needs the middle east ;)

I watched it too and it makes me feel sick to my stomach. I think they are going to get a big military response from America and the West in general by baiting them in this manner.

The world is really messed up right now.

I have thought for quite a long time that when individuals act overtly against a society or country outside the rules of engagement e.g. terrorism. That society should be able to protect itself in anyway it sees fit.

I don't agree with the death penalty but I do think that nations should he able to Guantanamo (indefinitely and without parole) individuals guilty of crimes against them. I don't care if it costs ££££; if we catch and convict terrorists we should be able to shove them in an offshore prison and seize their assets.

An individual's rights that are granted by a society must be forfeit when that individual acts against that society IMHO.
