Who watches The Great British Bake off?

I do but for an odd reason. I actually cannot eat solid food but find programs where visibly tasty looking food is created quite pleasing. I don't mean those ridiculous cooking shows where you have a tiny tower of stuff topped with foam surrounded in a pool of jus with a side order of thrice fried chips.

By the way anyone really eat that sort of food on a regular basis?

I want to see big pies and pastries, cream filled cakes and tarts. Yum yum.

Yeah I watch this with my wife because we both love baking and you can learn some useful things for it. Also, despite the fact that it's yet another competitive reality type show it's not quite as tawdry as some of the others.

Fat pie off yesterday. As much as i wish i had a huge pie in each hand it didn't happen.

I really fancy a pie now... :(

Do enjoy a bit of Mel and Sue too.

I've been watching it since it started, initially out of professional curiosity (I worked in a cake factory then).

Love it and it's interesting seeing people being competitive, not for money but for a title.

Also, I must have some snack with me when I'm watching these shows, makes me hungry.

Watched half a program, waited for the dough to rise and dosed off. Probably got burnt in the oven but I never came back to see. :p

When the alternative is England vs Norway, Bake Off is a much better offer.

Actually I do watch Bake Off regularly anyway, but especially when England are on the other channel.

I do enjoy baking, though my main interest is in working out who's soggy bottom Paul is kneading each season. So far I reckon the curly haired broad, though I expect Martha to make a late push by turning up in his hotel room, covered in TREX and wearing nothing but a baking tray. She has more than a little of the Annie Wilkes about her.

Yup, started watching it last year and enjoying it so far. Last night was a bit of a foregone conclusion really.

My daughter complained like bonkers when the trailers for it started ahead of the series this year but she's been as glued to it as Mrs. Feek and I have been.

Paul is definitely sniffing around Martha - he seems to like them young. I was kinda hoping Norman would go down in a blaze of glory last night, shoving his lemon meringue pie in Paul's face shouting "IS THAT ELABORATE ENOUGH FOR YE YA WEE GOB*****!"

I used to fancy Sue a little bit. She is getting butcher as she gets older though.

I enjoy watching it. Sometimes you learn some helpful tips or something clever, other times they frustrate you by some of them not knowing really basic stuff.

Next week - Princesstårta, my most favourite cake ever!
