Camping out for a few days and earning $$$$ whilst doing it? I could think of worse things to do :D

And I'm extremely stupid for not reading the article. Only read the title.
But still, $1250 wouldnt be enough for me to wait for 2 or even 3 weeks. $7k I'd do happily though :D

My own personal tests, so nothing concrete to link too. I've tested it against pretty much every high end phone on the market including a large amount of high end compact cameras. I've not got my hands on the lumia 1020 yet, but we all know the 41mp sensor is a complete gimmick and the quality will be horrendous like the entire lumia range. For dynamic range, edge sharpness and general IQ the 5S is absolutely bonkers above everything else. In studio conditions its right up there with DSLR's. Of course it has extremely limiting functions for ISO, exposure, focus and has horrendous digital zoom.

Examples of stuff i've tested it against:
Galaxy S4/S5, Z1/Z2, G3, OneM8, most of the lumia range, galaxy camera, several high end canon & nikon digital cameras (g15 & P600).

I'm not saying its a bad camera, but on pure hardware its behind the curve, they use a Sony sensors, Sony themselves use a newer version of this with a much bigger sensor size and quality. Same with other OEMs such as Nokia, Samsung and so on.

What Apple does right is they take a pretty standard Sensor and couple it with excellent image processing to achieve something amazing. So if they now have awesome hardware with it I can only imagine the results.

I've not used a modern Lumia but reviews have been amazing, the L920 was decent but its colours where really weird, like a mate once had a Purple top and it came out blue, no other phone produced this.

The 1020 is also far from a gimmick, it uses those 41mp to get a huge amount detail and then do some magic to push it into a 8mp/5mp image. It can produce some amazing things that rival DLSR.

Meh, don't care for the camera, the current one is plenty good enough. Any digital compact will beat it anyway so I am not fussed how good or bad it is.

How it perform as a phone and how good the OS is what i care the most.

The iPhone 5s is still very current. The market as a whole wants bigger phones so your going to have to move along at some point, I'm just happy there is even a 4.7" option.

Nah, I'm an android user who was thinking of switching due to the phone form factors these days. The iPhone5s - in my opinion - is not a good enough phone to warrant the switch.

Looks like the Xperia z3 compact will be my next phone.

I'm getting one of these as soon as they hit Belgium which means March April next year :p

i just found this....iPhone 6 parts has surfaced on suppliers website. can't believe you can buy iPhone 6 parts already.

What are networks (EE) typically like come a new iPhone release? Do they have a reasonable amount of stock, or strangled to cater for the Apple Store sales?

Thinking of possibly buying via that route after going direct from Apple for the last couple of releases.

Got my iphone 5 end of September 2 yr ago.. I think it was the official launch date.. I preordered it online with EE.. Just waiting for them to release the pre-order page .... Probably happen within an hr orso of it officially being announced by apple

My 2 year old iPhone 5 is now close to unusable (home button is almost dead and it only manages to charge using the lightning cable I got with it if I wrap the cable around the body of the phone in order to find that exact sweet spot where the connector registers). It's become a bit of a farce now tbh. I spend close to 10 mins each evening messing around until I know it's charging. Just can't be bothered to get it repaired now.

Really need this upgrade but I hope those leaks aren't accurate. It's not a nice design imo. Be such a shame if this is what Apple has settled with. We'll soon see.

Of course they're accurate, anything Apple has made in China the last few years gets leaked to death before release in terms of physical components - what you see is what you're going to get. Only the minutiae remain unspoiled before the official unveiling.

This being the case, any Apple Watch stuff will have to be like the new Mac Pro - made in the USA, otherwise we would have seen stuff for it by now if it was real.
