The 6 is not even 1080p? I was seriously expecting at least 1080p for the company that make such a big deal about "retina" displays.

It'll be interesting to see how the battery holds up in real life usage with the more efficient processor though.

I was thinking this, I loved my HTC One when it came out with the 1080p screen, looked great.

I'm in the same position as you, I've always been a apple fanboy but last year I moved to android and have been extremely happy, owned the S4 which was stolen then got myself a Htc one m7 which I've still got, I was hoping to upgrade to the new iphone 6 but I'm seriously dissapointed as I had my hopes up this year aswell.

Think I'll be going with the Z3 instead

Did the same mate went for the S4, loved it had it fr 9 months then got the Oneplus one wasnt too impressed and now have the S5. Was thinking of selling it and going for the IP6 but seems i may just get the Nexus X/6 as Android has been great to me and this doesnt seem remotely worth the excessive cost.

Not sure what else you were expecting tbh ?

From a hardware point of view they ticked all the boxes that people were asking for.

I had a Samsung Galaxy S5 it had a lovely screen and battery life but that was it the rest of the experience in using the phone sucked looking at getting the standard 6

Wouldn't it make sense for apple to stop obsessing about how thin the phone is and give us proper, undeniable, serious battery upgrade?

It's not, because battery life with new hardware is practically the same. Which for many of us means journeys from charger to charger all working week.

Are you seriously suggesting the new hardware is going to use nearly double the energy?! Even though the processor is now even more energy efficient? Mental.

Anyone got idea of when they might arrive in stores? My upgrade is due so I fancy waiting for the 6 Plus to arrive.

Why are you comparing the 6+ battery to the 5s battery? Surely the reasonable comparison is 5s vs 6? :/

I think the point is, there is now an option for people that require a very large battery capacity. Even the standard 6 is 1810mAh, which is an upgrade combined with a much more efficient chipset.

You're just in denial now.

You need to bear in mind that the 4.7 inch Iphone 6 has 1,810 mAh battery.

I fully expect this one to be broadly the same as the Iphone 5. No way is another 1100 mAh not going to make a difference. Bigger screen or not.

because the larger size of the plus enables it to have a larger battery. You can't have a small iphone and have a massive battery. I'd take your point however if you found the 5.5 inch version too big and wanted a 4.7 inch version, but thicker with a bigger battery. But I still feel the 5.5 inch version with a massive battery is answering some of that demand.

Well the 6+ is a Note4 sized device (slightly larger actually) which is a pretty niche market compared to the more reasonably sized phones like the normal 6. I don't really understand your point.

Niche market ?

This forum needs to make its mind up, there were loads of people saying that there needed to be a large screen iphone and cracking jokes about the fact apple said they didn't need one - then released one acknowledging that demand.

Sure enough, the number of people in here saying they want the plus is significant. I doubt that the 6 plus will be "niche" at all.

There's a massive difference between a larger screen and a phablet... people just wanted the iphone to have a conventionally sized screen like the Android flagships. Which is what the 6 is.

£699 for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus isn't a bad price really, was expecting it to be at least another £100.

Happy with the design and everything, large screen iPhone is just what I wanted. Not 100% sure about the 5.5" one though, will need to try it first.

iPhone 5 1,560mAh
iPhone 6 1,810mAh

Not much in it considering that it now has 0.7" bigger screen. So I predict similar battery consumption.

iPhone 6+ 2,915mAh
LG G3 3,000mAh

I using the LG G3 as an example as that also has a 5.5' screen. But one is 2k and the 1080p. So the iPhone 6+ should have good battery life, easy 2 days or 7 hours+ screen time

6 Plus for me, probably the 64GB. I'm coming from a 4S so it's a decent upgrade for me.

The price is eye watering though so hoping there's some half decent contract deals about.

Depending on how much spare cash I have dictates which 6+ I get, either the 64 or 128, ideally I would like the 128.

Super excited either way :).

Think I'm going with the iPhone 6 64GB in Grey.

One thing that is irking me: why is the front glass black and the back of the phone grey? Surely they should be the same.
