So lets say you went to the United States in 2012 and purchased a mega-millions lottery ticket while on holiday...
To your surprise you hit the Jackpot... 656 million dollars.... (Yes that's actually a number someone won in 2012)
What would your actions be?
Theoretically they are supposed to pay out, but since you are non-resident, there would be issues with the taxing... Which could result you in paying nothing in taxes, you would be unique case nonetheless.
What would you do with 400 million pounds?
In worst case scenario you still would have around 200-250 million pounds hitting your bank account.
