Manchester dogs home in arson attack. Dozens of dogs dead

[edited]

I really hope the death toll doesn't climb any higher. So sad and angry right now :(

You can still be sickened by maltreatment of animals even whilst kids starve in Africa or Gazans get blown up by Israel. You don't have to choose one of the other.

We're also a nation of animal lovers. In some foreign countries they refer to it as "the British disease". But sadly even here there is today a lot of animal neglect and outright cruelty.

It's very sad.

well aside form being easily manipulated and rather outspoken on a thread which isn't particularly relevant to your personal animal rights politics you're making a rather tedious comparison... stunning an animal for food is rather different to casual arson and a much longer & pointless death from fire/smoke inhalation.

25K has been raised so far!

I would think that enough donations to start rebuilding wont take long. :)

you'd think they've probably got buildings insurance to cover that anyway and don't need to wait for donations in order to rebuild anything

hopefully they'll get some increased interest from people wanting to adopt dogs from them though

I see the police have advised people not to take the law into their own hands. Depending on what his parents are like, I'll feel sorry for them. If they're typical scumbags who don't give a toss about the fact their son is a devil spawn, they should be punished too.

If that boy intended to kill those dogs then he should be locked away for life as he's got the potential to be even more dangerous than he already is.
