GTA V Update

In a perverse way I'm actually please gta5 'broke' my old 360 last year. It finally gave up the ghost when I was only about 10% into the game, so I'll get this on ps4 now and play it from the start, with the visuals (and hopefully the performance) it really deserves.

Any news on which console, xbox one or PS4, this will run better? I guess there won't be much difference since it's a remaster but would be good to know before pre-ordering.
Too much data (saved cars etc) to convert to a new format properly, I suspect.
It'll either be similar on both or the PS4 will have the advantage. Likely that the PS4 will have more stable framerates though.

It seems like they used a lot of side mission cutscenes for the trailer. Are they trying to fool us all that theirs a ton of new content?

Looks amazing but these next gen remakes are a bit tiresome. Tbf I've enjoyed tomb raider and metro redux as I missed them the first time round but absolutely everybody has already put dozens of hours into gta v. I'll rent this to marvel at the graphics but I won't be buying again. I can't remember this happening as much if at all with any other next gen console, I don't remember buying an n64 and saying I can't wait to play a link to the past again with slightly better graphics, I wanted to play ocarina of time a completely new experience.
I honestly think it's something to do with the sheer cost of game development. Look at the biggest release so far this gen in Destiny, very short on content imo and it's budget was massive, I think they are struggling.
All the trailers are PS4 footage.
Make of that what you will. Bear in mind last generation most cross platform trailers were 360 footage.

Any rumours of an upgrade option from ps3 to ps4 for valued customers?
Not played destiny yet......but seeing as this game is designed to last years , I think the content looks small atm as they are keeping shedloads of it back.
there's at least 2 expansion packs
All mmo type games are designed to last years, I've not played a base game with this little actual content. If it is by design they need to release these expansions pretty quick, as it's not getting the reviews or acclaim it was hyped for.
We are right on the limit of cost/return for many devs.

Basically,
for pure eye candy, PS4.
get XB1 if you value multiplayer more, the network is just more robust and reliable.

How will the PS4 version hold out against the PC, don't know whether to hold off for another couple of months if it's going to look even better...

There's no doubt it'll look even better but the big question will be how well optimised it is.
