So after months of my peers trying to persuade me to go "clubbing" because it is awesome and amazing and what-not, I finally gave in and tagged along with my friends to one of the popular clubs in Brighton.
All I have to say is... What?!
It was an evening of having me eardums abused by ridiculously loud "music" and my eyeballs abused by erratic lighting. I was surrounded by people who were completely off their face on alcohol, and goodness knows what else, and I was encouraged to keep drinking "because it would get better" until I was crouched down outside the bar, chucking up the obscene amount of rum & coke that I had wasted god knows how much money on. Admittedly that part was my doing, but it hardly seemed like a rare occurrence.
People consider that a good way to spend an evening?!
Oh my god...

I understand the appeal of the clubs which are better than the one I was in, and to a certain degree I understand the appeal of the dank club I was in as well. I do however fail to understand the need for the music to be so loud that it hurts your ears and has you leaving with them ringing.![]()
