Which is a bit odd from someone who owns more Apple kit than most anything else.

It is somewhat amusing though how larger screens have become cool when Apple produce them but not when they were Android - don't you think?

Mind you Apple had to do something to stem the flow of customers to Android who wanted the larger screens. Not sure this chap is overly happy about it. THIS

No need to get personal. - it's a cheap shot, and you know it. Purely in the interest of balance I've got as much Microsoft branded kit - old and new xboxes and a Surface Pro. That's not including the gaming PC running Windows.

I'm not engaging on the screen size debate. I don't like phablets, but it appears the market has spoken. I've ordered an iPhone 6, but only because it's better value than the 5S which is still overpriced/understoraged IMO. It's a better long term bet, and I've used an iPhone 4 for over four years.

Not an issue if you have paid by CC - I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

It's been in a long slow decline since Cauldwell sold it.

Caudwell has a cunning knack of selling at or just before the right time. He did the same with Caudwell Communications. Friends of mine were headhunted to work for Homecall when they expanded aggressively in the early 00s. The rot set in shortly after Caudwell offloaded the group and a couple of years later and various names for the business they'd moved the function to the Philippines and put hundreds of people out of work.

P4U have not gone bump yet. The Vodafone contract runs until February 2015, EE to September 2015. They've called in the administrators as a neutral party to protect the creditors and keep the company viable.

not sure of its validity but found this thru digitalspy forums

The official response from Phones4U press office is as follows…

Robert White confirms that … "Any orders that have not already been dispatched will be cancelled and any payments refunded to customers. Phones4U apologises to its customers for the inconvenience."

Just watching BBC News and they confirmed all P4U orders not yet dispatched will be cancelled and refunded.
So at least people won't have lost money, just back of the queue for getting a phone :(

I've read much the same, the business was strong and there is money in the bank but the future has been blocked. They should be able to fold gracefully without stiffing customers or staff so worse case your now back of the queue for an ip6 if you ordered it from them.

Its gutting for sure :( and just goes to. Show we are still in a struggling economy where nothing's safe and you need to. Be very wise where you invest your hard earnt cash

In the last few years I have learnt to take less and less chance saving pennies and paying a bit extra buying from the likes of amazon or john Lewis just to. Get piece of mind

Same with holidays as well

Let's hope the end result is every one who ordered one still gets their iPhone 6 and or + in the end ;)

I'm not due to upgrade till the 23rd

And there's no way I'm paying to upgrade 4 days early. I'll just upgrade on the 23rd and get to the back of the queue.

Nobody has a need to have on release day. People just need to be patient. It's no big deal for the P2U people.

You don't 'need' to though do you? Take a step back, have a breather. Don't spend over the odds because you can't wait a couple of weeks.
