Classic CPW..

State they have stock, then grab a load of preorders and web traffic. A few days later they send emails out saying "sorry, but due to limited stock, estimate delivery 2-3 weeks".

I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them

Also, with the networks basically cutting Phones4Us throat and wanting to keep all business to themselves, I expect CPW to go the same way.

It's really annoying that I have ordered within the first 20 mins of pre orders and yet I am not getting mine until 29 SEP -4 OCT

What time was your email confirmation? If it was 8:20 you would certainly be in for 19th. I reckon it was after though. Personally i couldnt get one pre ordered until 9:10 until trying for over an hour

Sad to say I fell for that :(.

Went with the 6 plus 128gb stated delivery on release date. As soon as I returned back from the sale it stated "date to be confirmed*".

No ruddy idea when it's coming now. Or even what colour as it's not stated in the confirmation email :(.

Actually saying that my only two emails were the "received order" and "confirmed order" ones. Maybe I lucked out in not getting the delivery delay email (who am I kidding :().

I don't want an iphone 6 on release day enough to have to put up with CPW for 2 years.

They are terrible. There's a reason that EE and Vodafone are cutting the contracts with these people. Its because they are just conmen out to make a profit out of you by being the middle man.

Profits are so tight its not like they manage to get you amazing deals you can't get yourself any more.

And when their customer service is shoddy, EE and the like get the blame, not CPW. Writings on the wall for them too IMO.

It sounds like I may have made a mistake ordering from CPW :(.

O2 iPhone 5 release was in conjunction with CPW and it was fine no problems. Stupidly I assumed it would be the same ordering from CPW.

More and more people saying the 6+ is a good size.
I based everything simply on that website that shows the sizes.
Might need to make my way to a store to check it out before I use my 6.

The way I've come around to looking at it is that as an iPhone owner I've been conditioned to be used to using what is (even with the height increase on the 5/5S) a small smartphone, so going up to these bigger sizes is a big jump, no twos ways about it.

For 'the other lot' they've been used to a gradual increase in size over the past couple of years so mentally it's not as big of a hurdle to go for something with a 5.5" diagonal as their previous device likely not a whole lot smaller. Indeed, I know quite a few people who liked iOS but refused to get an iPhone until they start putting out something with a larger screen as they refused to downsize.

Also a warning, in the past CPW iPhone handsets come unlocked but then lock to the first SIM that's inserted. Not sure if that's the same for these new iPhones?

Apple store they stay unlocked forever.

When and what model did you order?

Not just ones from CPW. Any iPhone you get on contract from any network will lock to the first SIM you put in it (if it isn't already network locked).

You're right, 10:37am... The pre orders went live at 9 am I believe not 8...

My confirmation came at 8.28. After I was done fiddling about with the not so automatic express checkout system of theirs, I was probably hanging around on the site for around 4 minutes or so. So about 8.24ish. My 6+ 128gb space grey is due on the 19th.

Well pre-ordered the 6 128GB from CPW yesterday on an upgrade (figured the 128GB would be less popular) and received an email saying they can't process the order just yet due to the volume of orders received, but I should hear back soon.

Gonna harass them on live chat again soon. For anyone wanting to use live chat instead of ringing their call centre, check out this http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/carphone-warehouse-live-chat-1646854

It gives a link to live chat, as otherwise it would only pop up at random when you are browsing their website.
