8 as an update itself doesn't have many new features really but it's more of an update which will come to life with the app extensions now available to developers.

App access to touch ID, widgets in the notification centre, third party keyboards etc.

Anybody got Continuity working? I've just updated my iPhone to iOS 8 and I'm running Yosemite Public Beta 3 on my MacBook but none of the Continuity features seem to be working.

Not sure if FaceTime was the culprit or not but I opened FaceTime on my Mac and I wasn't signed in (despite iCloud already being setup). Signed in and Continuity is working now.

Ios8 is worth it for swift key alone <3 the only feature I wanted from Android was a better keyboard

Installed on 4s via iTunes in less than 45 minutes. First impressions are that the phone feels slower, laggy almost.

Very slick and the 1 password extension works well.

Not sure about the Swype keyboard though.

Anyone else finding that when you swipe back in safari the web page goes back to the top? Very annoying!

How come read emails are now bold too - the same as unread ones?

Can this be turned off?

Not sure I like Continuity.
It doesn't work if you have locked the device you are handing off FROM.
So, viewing webpage on iPhone and get home but device is locked.
Cannot pick up on iPad unless I UNLOCK the iPhone first.
If I do that then I get the handoff icon on my iPad.

Anyone else have problems on OcUK browsing to different forums?

You use the drop down box to select sub forum and it doesn't work but you go to some unknown forum.

Bizarre. Mine began installing on the black screen and aborted. Still on 7.1.2. It's also gobbled up the 906MB installation space which means I need to find another 1GB to redownload. In other words, Apple can eff off. It's staying as it is, thx.

This vexes me somewhat.
My ipad2 an ancient device by apple standards stated their was an update available, 700 or 900mb or some such, it downloaded, imstalled and update in less than an hour.
The ipad air, the most recent and most powerful ipad they have, states a 1.3gb download, and is now telling me ten hours to download.

Why?
