No. Modern lithium ion batteries prefer regular topping up and have over-volt circuits built in, so keeping them plugged in longer than necessary does nothing.

To calibrate the battery you can leave it drain completely then perform a 100% charge but I wouldn't do that on the first charge. Typically I only do that when I notice the phone dropping to 98% charge immediately after unplugging from a full charge overnight.

So I can go out tomorrow night and show off my new iPhone in the pub... Probably come home without it. :p

I remember 4 years ago when the iPhone 4 came out, I was up at the crack of dawn to pick it up from O2. I went out that night and this happened...

It was ran over by a taxi. :(
 
I was pretty gutted. I mustn't have fully pushed it in my pocket, so when my friend jumped on my back for a piggy back, it must have fallen out. I ran back when I realise it wasn't with me and all the taxi drivers were stood looking at it.

Very sad day. I took the crown for first replacement of an iPhone 4 at the Manchester Apple store. :)

Lol well at least you've got that :D.

I still remember a while ago I was having a really bad day and dropped my iphone. Picked it up and saw the smashed screen and just started blubbing lol.

Absolutely pathetic :D.
 
I was a bit emotional on my first breakage. Think I dropped it in a brew. Serves me right for swiping an extra large mug from Starbucks!
 
I put my dads business down as the delivery address (and chose "this is a business" on the delivery page) as I'm at work all day.

I'm hoping this means they'll deliver that early :cool:
