What makes you unsure about the 6+, is it just purely the physical size? (ie not so pocket friendly)
I'm hoping to have a look at one myself today.
As I said a couple of days ago I compared the 5 to the HTC One (1080p 4.7" IPS screen) and I could see the difference at normal viewing distances... It's the one major thing that I'm slightly worried about.Pointless having such a high res screen on such a small size phone.
I could notice the res of my original iPad mini, but that was a tad larger than the phone. My 6, I can't see any pixels.
And yes I'm aware that I am feeding le troll. But he looked terribly hungry.
Also Samsung screens are so over-saturated.
Wow. Just back to work from the Covent garden store, lucky my device was reserved, the people queuing up where crazy, all sorts of shoving and pushing, screaming and shouting. There where a few asian guys handing out stacks of Apple store gift card vouchers to their "mules" standing in queue, never seen so many apple gift store vouchers, 1 guy handed out 50 of them.
I got a space grey and misses got a gold, never been on the first day but it was very cringe worthy, the cheering and shouting form the staff was amazing, some of the crowd went crazy too. It was very funny and weird experience, not sure I will do this agian.
Tried the 6+ in store and it far to big, I straggle to just reach the over side of the display period, so even with the reachability it is a stretch if some item you want to reach is in the top left (right handed person).
The iPhone it self seems nice, it feel just like an iPhone, the lines on the back are not a big deal on the space grey, but some of silver/gold models in store already had dark scratches/marks on the plastic so it is less the ideal and it is very apparent. The gold has a very strong gold finish to the Apple logo which was a bit too bling bling.
I won't get to open the device till after work with the misses so lets see.
So glad I didn't go for the 6+ - definitely would not have been happy with the size. I like the size of the 6's screen, but the device itself is right on the limit of what I'm comfortable with.
Hmmm the amount of people saying little things that are not quite right with the iPhone 6 on launch worries me, low screen res etc for fonts, sure it will get updated but it's unbecoming of Apple, it's like android phone launches from years ago, not quite polished etc....... Seems these days it's the other way round, it hurts apple image to not reach perfection so to speak, if they charged android prices I'd be ok with it, but it expect perfect devices at these prices and given they are all identical
its not apple its third party apps that need to be updated for the new stuff.
Apple apps are fine for me on my 6+
Facebook, whatsapp and google chrome look daft and need updating.
but the third party devs have had plenty of time with iOS8 already.
Indeed, everyone is blaming Apple, but the third party devs have had plenty of time with iOS8 already.
