** NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 9xx SERIES NOW AVAILABLE INCLUDING OcUK REVIEW!! **

OcUK took £462.29 via Paypal at 08.03 this morning. As of this moment that order still doesn't exist. At what point will this issue be resolved? Answers on a postcard...

Should never use Paypal/Amazon during a rush sale, adding a middle man just complicates things and ends up in issues like yours, cards FTW.

Can anyone tell me what kind of Display Port and HDMI connections are on the 980? Are the DP1.3 or HDMI 2.0?

As far as I know its DP 1.2 - as 1.3 is quite new, and HDMI 2.0.

For those of connecting via HDMI to a TV, with a view to buying 4K TV in the future, HDMI 2.0 is important for playback and streaming of UHD content as well as gaming - GPU power permitting.

What is less clear at this stage is what bandwidth the HDMI port is and therefore which resolutions and colour depths are actually supported - although this will also depend on drivers.

In particular although http://www.geforce.co.uk/whats-new/articles/maxwell-architecture-gtx-980-970 says
In addition, Maxwell is the world's first GPU architecture to support HDMI 2.0, providing enough bandwidth to output 4K at 60Hz over HDMI.
the specs on http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-970/specifications still say
* 3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI.
which is not full HDMI 2.0

Couldn't use any other method at the time. Every other option was resulting in a SQL Database error.

Phoned twice now, three times if you count a separate issue with logging into my account. (It's been a right day!) I was told to wait until i receive an order confirmation, which should have happened about 9 hours ago. Can't even cancel the order for a refund because the order doesn't exist! All i've achieved today is to lose £462 with nothing but a headache to show for it.

Also, how does one use the customer service forum?

Log in to your main overclockers account, select you and your account, then there's a box to link it to your forums account. I think that gives you access.

Click on Order Queries, create a new thread. And wait for a member of staff to see it. I've done this twice today and got a response in about 20 mins or so.

Ah, it's all Private for a reason. I get it now.

The problem is nobody can help me with an order that i have no order number for as the order is somewhere in electronic limbo. It feels like i've been robbed.

Yeah, I dunno what to suggest. I got a blank order through about 4 hours after I ordered. But at least then I had the order number to phone and get corrected. I'm not sure whether the blank order came through by itself or had some help from staff.

Don't be silly. Provide them with the PP Transaction ID and they will find it and manually process your order.

Keep the time of order + amount paid handy. Surely they will be able to line it up on their records when they investigate money coming in from paypal.

Guys, I ordered a 980 when 7 items were showing in stock....queried the order via webnote and told out of stock.

Would you have expected to get allocation even when stock was showing for a good while afterwards?
