Trawled around abit but most 4K talk seems to be coming from cheapskates (sorry :p). Just wasted a load of money on 3 x GTX 980s and hoping to get rid of my Dell U3011 for a decent single tile 32inch+ 4K screen, are these available yet to anyone's knowledge and if not would really appreciate any info on rough timeframes to expect them.

The Dell 32 inch looks exceedinly dodgy with it's bugs, and the LG super wide type stuff doesn't really appeal to me.

Many thanks :)

With "single tile" you mean that the monitor is recognised as a single screen then I think all 4K monitors released within the last month or two are.

Is it for gaming only? Not sure you'd want to switch to a TN panel (which all the cheaper 4k screens are, but at least they are single tile I think) after that lovely Dell IPS if you're using for other stuff?

I mean a physical single tile, for example the Dell 32 inch screen is made up of 2 tiles that using software converted to 1 image, seems the tech is not really working too well and has severe limitations.

Thanks all for the posts, didn't mean to come across a stuck up fool :o just after something that will last a while and no buggy intricacies.

Not a deal breaker going TN, although having said that have been used to IPS for a few years now, and maybe got a bit more fussy. Used to love the cheapo 22-24 inch TN panels but we're going back a good 6-7 years so hmmmm lol.

I think it's likely that it's going to have to be TN, shame there doesn't seem to be any large screen (32 inch+) IPS panels that are single tile.

Maybe that should have been the original question, :)
Thanks again for posting.

Similar position to you. Would like to move to 4K but the current screens are either too small, TN or 30Hz. I also tried the 21:9 3440x1440 LG for a few days but found the aspect ratio was too extreme and lacked vertical space.

There are a number of 30"+ 4K screens due, but not sure when. I believe these will all be single tile, non TN. These are the ones I've heard about :

LG 31UM95 - 31" 17:9 4096 x 2160
Eizo EV3237 - 31.5" 16:9 3840 x 2160
Samsung U32D970Q - as above
BenQ BL3201PT - 32" 16:9 3840 x 2160
Asus PA328Q - as above

Don't expect these will be cheap though:)
