I'm up for it, didn't go too well last time I attempted it but I was lv26 at the time.

EDIT: Oops, thought you were talking about the nightfall strike, nevermind :p

Do you definitely get shards for doing this? Think I only got strange coins.

I managed to do this last night solo staying in that room just before the boss spawns. Keep shooting it from the door and when the purple thing appears run through the door behind you and wait for it to dissappear (don't go too far back as youl'l enter the previous area and rest the boss's energy.

The games trolling me at the moment, every activity I do that should reward shards is giving me motes of light and ascendant energy instead. :/ :P

Edit* Im assuming you mean weekly heoric not weekly nightfall.

that B flag just turns into "battle of the supers"
99% of the time I run in and just get insta-killed by someone's super >.<

He's opposite where the speakers 'tower' is, right near a big door. He might have moved already, I don't know what time he disappears.

Is anyone interested in trying the weekly nightfall strike? Lv26 minimum please.

had a little go at farming the treasure cave today with Solost.

About an hr of farming, ton of green drops, probably 20 odd blues and 4 legendary drops.

Legendarys decoded into the following well chuffed :)

Unfortunately also got a duplicate of the first drop but cant complain with that drop rate :)
 
temple of crota works for me everytime, just start the story mission and after you kill the small adds at the door let the bigger adds kill you. It will restart the door opening squence again and you can rinse/repeat till you get your bounty. It also used to be a decent farming spot for engrams before treasure cave got popular

This cave farming is pretty good to me. Turned up and the first kill dropped a legendary! That's 7 I've had in the 4 trips I've spent their, about 4 hours in total

don't waste your time farming random mobs, start doing strikes / pvp, collect marks, then you can choose legendaries with the stats you want, instead of mindlessly shooting a cave and praying to RNG-sus that something drops that you can actually use.

i think i would die of boredom after 5 mins of farming 1 spot..

True,

I tried farming a place for a few hours, got a few purples but all decoded to blue crap.

I actually started to farm rep/marks and now I'm close to buying complete purple gear.
 
I got my legendary oblivion armour and legendary auto rifle from doing raids. All I get from the cave shoot out is blue's and the two purples I had became blue anyway.
 
Watched the Angry Joe review, he absolutely canes this, glad I didn't buy it! He kind of suggests that any real content has been carved up and put into DLC just leaving the grind in the full release.
