I went from a 6 plus (64GB) to a 6 (128GB) and couldn't be happier. The 6 is still bigger than the 5, fast(er) than the plus (as smaller screen to drive) and yet has the portability of a phone.

Each to their own I guess :)

Just managed to secure a 12-month SIM only plan with EE giving me 17GB 4GEE+ data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts for £8.50 per month for the first 6 months and £19.00 a month for remaining 6 months.

Absolute steal!

What phone? Any upfront cost?

Thats £165 total cost so i presume no phone unless EE are totally crazy

I bought the phone from Apple for £700 (iPhone 6 plus 64gb).

That cost is for SIM only. Guess I had a nice operator at the end of the phone and the fact I've been with them for years :p

I've been with them since the early days of One2One, so I'm hoping for some favourable treatment when I give them a call next month...

Still a great deal. Works out at £13.75 a month for 17gb. Do you get tethering? I would find it hard to use 17gb a month without tethering (which I do)

I think the only think that comes close is the 3 tariff that's £15 a month for unlimited data, 5000 text, 500 mins + tethering

Funny you say that, I'm contemplating leaving even with that deal because I don't get tethering, and switching to Three. However I'm not sure Three's coverage would be good enough for me.

Something seems amiss here.... Got an iPhone 6 on EE (2GB / 2000 / Unlimited) and since getting it the EE app reckons I've used 1.2 gig already (since Friday), but I've been on Wifi and certainly not done anything of consequence, no video streaming etc...

At that rate even if I go up to 4GB which was the top one on offer its going to last about a week without really doing anything :/

I have just found what I consider to be the best thing since sliced bread.

If you get stuck on one of those incredibly shoddy mobile sites and want the desktop version (when not allowed by the site) just click the address bar and then swipe down under it.

No more horrific mobile pages yay!

Edit: appears sporadic if it works :(.

If you go into "mobile" in settings you can scroll down and see which app is using the data.

Go three then. Unlimited for £15.

Regarding reception, its always been better for data coverage than o2. Cell signal is a bit worse in places like bars under ground but surprisingly better in the country side - Download festival I had coverage where as my mates on EE and o2 didn't. When I was in rural somerset where my cousins live I still had signal. Abroad its also great because there are things like the europass (€5 for unlimited data all day) and no 3 have introduced more countries to 'feel at home' where you can use up to 25gb data and all the calls and texts as you want in certain countries!!

France & Italy are the newest ones I think.

The only think you cannot do is tether abroad - Fair enough I suppose

I get 'Sorry, that page doesn't exist'

If you want all desktop sites, just use Dolphin browser and put it in desktop mode :)

One thing new I have just noticed. In mobile data under Data Roaming I have 'EU Internet' It says

Turn off data roaming when traveling to avoid charges when web browsing and using email and other data services. EU internet service only applies to internet and personal hotspot data traffic

So what if I am in EU and have data roaming on but not 'EU internet' Does internet still work?

Just unboxed and am setting up my 6. ABsolutely love it, including the screen size. Hope my battery is as good as others are saying.

Definitely not returning it anymore. Glad i stuck with the 6 instead of getting a 6+ as well. This is just right.

Waiting im(patiently) for an update to WhatsApp so it looks better on our higher res screens!

Same here. Like I said in an earlier post, I'm fairly certain that developers knew of the impending resolution changes way in advance so I can't understand why they were not ready to release updates.

Yeah I saw it in the beta I didn't know EU was planning on making data charges illegal.... What are the idiots going to get wrong next :D.

Afaik there were no specifics other than the obvious it's going to get bigger with a higher dpi/resolution. I imagine Apple are currently getting hammered with apps submitting their updates. Which really should have been done last week before the physical release.

Besides there was a statement saying that apps would scale automatically with ios 8. While they do it seems to be leaving an awful lot of them crashing/freezing so there's a bit more to it than resolution only for some.

I assumed 1440p and updated works quite well but still upscale and then downscales for some reason I haven't worked out yet. I was ready weeks ago :D.
