Yeah happened to me to, It was a good laugh because there was about 6 of us fighting them off.

You get a message come up on screen, The enemy are moving against each other.
 
Just finished the main story missions, I was given some fancy gun and some light from the speaker. Nothing amazing but still plenty to do.

Troll Cryptarch actually did a good thing for me yesterday. Decyrypted a legendary engram into an exotic helmet! Well pleased with that, and managed to get get some legendary boots as well. Up to level 25 now and still loving it :)

it's not ideal to join strikes under-levelled, but hopefully the other guys will be above 22 and you will gear up quicker :)

That doesn't work, from experience you will always be matched with similar levels, so you will have an entire fireteam of underlevelled people :p

I'm not even sure if the different strike playlist levels affect loot, it might be based more on player level than strike level.
 
After a weekend away, I got on it last night and after 40mins of farming outside the Cave, I got a Legendary Engram and guess what Cryptroll gave me?

A LEGENDARY ITEM!
A USEFUL LEGENDARY ITEM AS WELL!

Plasma Rifle, forgot the name but I'm well pleased... except I really need some Spinmetal now.
 
I had been farming chests to get the last 2 ascendant shards i needed for a chest upgrade top push me to 26. It got to 10PM last night when I remembered that I had an exotic chest piece for a warlock, (I'm a Titan) in my vault.

I dismantled it and got 3 shards. Level 26
 
So hooked on this game, had an 8 hour straight session yesterday afternoon/evening :(

Managed to get from 20 - 24 this weekend. Have had 4 epics drop, 2 were the wrong class, one was a strange coin, and other upgrade mats! Argh!
 
Has anyone else been farming the cave, and then it comes up saying 'the enemies are turning against each other' (or similar - can't remember exactly) and then it just spawns seemingly endless waves of wizards and knights?

Dat cave is so good though, especially as you normally get a couple of public events in that area (had 3 in a row yesterday)
 
I bought this on Sat, I wish I had bought this sooner, it's epic!!!! Only level 13, I find myself mainly doing PvP, is there a quick way to level? I've gone as the Titan are they any good?
 
Well playing a quick Crucible match last night, I got an Exotic Auto Rifle (Hard Light) with 300 Attack in the random loot after the game finished......pretty sweet reward for a PVP match.

That being said I need to spend ages upgrading it to get the crazy recoil on it down.

I keep seeing people using that gun last night, must be 'common' for an exotic.

I love my Sunslinger, PvP with resurrection is AWESOME!
Managed to shock a few players in control matches. I'd love an exotic Shottie; Die, resurrection, punch, shottie shottie shottie shottie, die, repeat.

(Assuming I have high enough intellect for quicker Super Charge)

I was on my way to that cave and joined in on the action, was pretty epic and quite tough, while farming ti though i did the event that drops in twice so more vanguard points for me.

I'm level 20 with a bit of light, not had a good drop yet though, hopefully soon.

Not farming as such, but you are able to get at least 6 a day from what I've read.

You can possibly get one for every public event you get a gold tier for.. However you can only get 1 per planet. You can do as many public events as you want but you will only receive 1 shard 1 time.

Then if you do the daily mission on the hardest difficulty you can a
Get 2.

So that's 6 a day, I've yet to validate his but I will be trying it out tonight.

Only other way is to grind the earth cave or moon doors hoping you get a legendary you can decrypt and dismantle.

It's a terrible terrible set of circumstances!

yeah good area for public events, 2 events occur, one just behind where you shoot at the cave and another just to right.

I have farmed that cave a fair bit and not seen a purple yet!

I'm, switching to vanguard bounties and patrols to get my vanguard rep up, still only on rank 1, takes ages...
 
I only just got my first Legendary engram ever on Friday night, just before the servers went down.

Finally got around to visting our good buddy the Cryptarch and to my surprise he gave me a Purple!

It was a hunter cloak :( Maybe I should just go ahead and make one of each character, quickly get them all to level 20 just to avoid disappointment like that in the future :(
 
Any confirmation on performance relating to drops in PvP?
I'm almost always 1st palce by miles and I never get anything.

We spent an hour doing 3v3 last night on chat and we dominated every game 5000-2000 or so and I was double the kills, half the deaths of my mates. They were getting loot thrown at them and in 6-7 games I got 1 crappy blue cloak...

2 matches this morning the same in control, nothing at all yet the bottom 3 all got 2 items each!



I'm Lvl 26 now finally so can look to get a raid going. Could get to Lvl 27 with current gear I just need materials to level them up. Need loads of those Shards so guess I'll have to farm the cave to get legendaries to dismantle. Need about 60 or so at least and that's just with 1 exotic and 1 legendary armour. Will be another 40 or so when I get 2 more legendary armour pieces...yikes.

We tried the raid with 3 of us last night...impossible! lol.
Keeps just spawning enemies who then capture the zones the second you leave. I managed to hold off myself against 3 waves but couldn't keep it up I guess you need 2 people at each capture location to hold them down long enough to progress.
