Surly that's not 8 hours of display time is it? That's seriously incredible if it is.

I wouldn't presume it is. Reason being I use my phone to make calls a lot. So the display will be off most of the time. Other then that, the rest is whatsapp/safari/mail when the display is on and auto brightness.

I'm happy if I get a day out of a charge. It's a lot better then what my 4s was.

Battery life is brilliant. If only the 5 had it I wouldn't have bothered upgrading haha.

Clearly spent too much time browsing today lol.

Has anyone turned off motion calibration? Always popping up in my status bar as using locational services so that may be a battery killer. But can't work out what it does since it seems like everything works without it.

I turned it off on mine anyway. Must be hiding some dodgy apps :)

Hotspot seems to tan much less battery now. Just downloaded 2gb and used 2% battery.

My Wifi download speed is ~200kbps, Three 4G I got 2.5-3mbps :) 2gb flew threw

[perfectly lined up smiley face bonus]

My battery life has also been brilliant, I just saw that notes has used 3% even though I haven't used it, anyone know how I can stop it?

Strange. Is there anything written in it?

Anyone finding it annoying in fokders of apps how you can only see 9 apps in a small window? Why not have 12 or 15. I bet it looks even more crap on the 6+

It's just randomly on most of the time. Been searching and no one really knows what it does.
I assume my battery life is so bad because of the poor signal I have indoors.

If you have been indoors using a phone a lot but not on wifi and your cell signal is bad then it will use a lot more battery because it's trying to keep the signal, working harder, noticed that myself few years back.

I'd like to warn people about buying the black Apple silicone case, it's not black at all, it's very very much grey, if you look at it on the Apple site it shows how grey it is, but it's called black.:rolleyes:

Yeah they need to do something about that, it's vaguely annoying they have changed some UI elements for the Plus (dual pane) but not others - probably see some of this change in future updates. Then again I tend to use Spotlight to open an app if it's not on my front page.

FYI for those with indoor signal issues, give your carrier a call.

I've had a 3 Home Signal box for a good 18 months now. I think I paid £50 for it because I was out of contract (sim free) but essentially it's a little box that plugs in to the broadband and spits out a phone signal so you always have 100% signal at home. You register your number with the box, so only your mobile can see / access the box and it's all transparent. No dodgy apps to install, no configuration. Just whack your mobile number in on the website and away you go :)

I believe other networks offer this, but I'd say it's worth calling them to see what they can do either way.
