I think it took 25+ attempts including a wipe on 5% but we got there in the end! Lots of fun and everyone came away with at least one legendary. Rabbit did clear up most of the loot - 2 legendaries and 1 exotic?!

My R2 button decided to break midway through the raid, which is always handy. 4th or 5th controller now :|

Very similar to me. Got all rare items maxed out atm (876 def) looking for my first legendy peice of armour. FWC seems the way to go stats wise, but I prefer the look of others. Not got a high enough rank on either vanguard or crucible to buy anything yet. My problem is my time is split between the two.
 
I got shroud of the justicar through a drop, and bought boots and gauntlets from the Warlock Vanguard yesterday.
All I need now is a helmet.

I've got 23 strange coins, I recon I can get a few more before Friday, hopefully Xur will have something worthwhile buying.

Defense from items is the same for all classes. My gear is not fully upgraded, there are like 2-3 more defense upgrades on each legendary item, so that defense isn't anywhere near the max either.

Armor is useless in PvP, don't think it works in the crucible. Speed is everything. A fully speed specced Hunter is the hardest class to hit! Recovery doesn't matter too much imo. You're either going to kill someone and have enough time to find cover, or get killed and recovery wouldn't have mattered.

I am really hoping Armor comes in to play in thr Iron Banner. Otherwise Titans are ****ed in PvP.

Raid = lvl 25+ and fully upgraded lvl 20 blues as minimum. Bring a decent void dmg secondary.

Nightfall = lvl 26+ (i was getting 1-shot pretty much with my gear, so being lvl 28 will help a TONNE) and I wouldn't try that again without full legendary weapons.. It is brutal. You pretty much HAVE to exploit AI to complete it lol.

Weekly heroic = lvl 22+ with fully upgraded lvl 20 blues.
 
Well I joked yesterday that after saying aloud that I'm sick of now drops - I got a drop.

Well 30 seconds after saying i'm annoyed that I haven't got an Exotic bounty - boom. lol

Had a look at the 3 options and all of them seem very time consuming so I'm pleased I've got one now to work on.
I went for the Pulse Rifle - Bad Juju in the end.

Just have to do a weekly strike, then 25 more strikes, then kill about 300-400 people in crucible. Hopefully it's good!
From here I'm just going to Lvl my other 2 classes up by purchasing legendaries with marks, coins and motes of light and get them all to at least 26 and max out their sub-classes. I want the option of all 3 classes.

Thanks, I'm missing something that does void damage, everything I have right now is kinetic or arc which they resist when the shields are up. Will be on the look out for a void damage fusion rifle or something.
 
P.s. I would say that for the raid, having good teamwork and communication is probably more important than having pimped out gear. Your gear can be godlike, but it won't be able to carry you through that 1st encounter if no-one understands the strategy and their role in the fight..! A mixture of legendaries and fully upgraded lvl 20
blues should be enough to get the first 3 sets of drops (chest->boss->chest)
Last boss may be a bit more gear dependant though.. (Don't know yet ;D)

Definetly, even with some of the daily strikes on hard mode have needed good comms to get things done!

The fusion rifle bounty is a blessing and a curse :( Stuck on it for days now because of the 10 rare fusion rifles you have to dismantle

Protip: If that troll gunsmith ever has rare fusion rifles in stock, buy 10 and put them in the vault!
 
Ta dude - nice tip. Did you get that bounty just from handing in bounties? I assume you get a choice between fusion rifle, machine gun and scout rifle IIRC.

One of my 3 fusion rifles is still an uncommon so it does sound lucky to get them to drop.

The guy who is providing the POV has a void fusion rifle that absolutely wrecks the praetorians. It removes the shield in one shot.

Tried the Nightfall strike last night. Party of a level 27, 26 and 25. We got utterly destroyed at the first wave.

Maybe I should wait until I get slightly better gear..

Just read this:

If you’re competing in a special PvP event like Iron Banner, do take the time to gear up for it specifically, as level advantages are enabled; Your Defense rating and Attack level will not be equalized with everyone else like in normal Crucible modes.

Also, normal Crucible matches rarely award you high-quality gear, but time-limited Iron Banner matches have better odds of granting excellent equipment.

You must meet with Lord Saladin before you can compete. Seek him out in the Tower, opposite the landing zone.

What is the best weapon damage to have? I've had a few drops that give me a weapon I already have, the only difference is one does arc damage, one does void damage, another does kinetic etc. Which weapon should I keep? Arc, void, kinetic or the other one I forgotten?
 
I handed in a bounty yesterday and was awarded a legendary ship blueprint, anyone else had that? Is a pretty ugly ship tbf

It was just the "9000 exp without dying" bounty
