He's an easy one as he doesn't trigger till you go through the door.

Last time out I killed him with a super and 2 rockets almost simultaneously (my launcher has two in the chamber at the same time).
 
I'm level 24 now and having a pretty hard time of it trying to do the queens mission. I got given the black garden quest, is it always the same quest or do they rotate around?

My tactic is come prepared. All enemies have a certain shielded unit with very tough shields, for the Fallen its the Shanks with solar shields and the Cabal have very annoying Psions with void shields. Haven't done other missions yet but I assume its the same. Bring a special weapon of each type to despatch them.

Range is your friend in these, so use a hand cannon or scout rifle and go for the head from cover. Heavy machine gun for the bosses, a solar one for cabal to quickly take out centurions and collossuses. Luckily the bosses are relatively low health compared to strike bosses, so they go down pretty quick.

Saying that I'm level 26 so it will no doubt be tougher for lower level guys, but I've done 3 of them solo so far.
 
I did both of them at lvl24 and they were hard. You just need to be cautious and use range to your advantage. I have a really nice sniper rifle that kills most things with one or two headshots and then a legendary rocket launcher for some mayhem. Like atpbx, I managed to kill the knell on his barge from the doorway using a rocket launcher with 2 in a magazine. They were both in the air before the first one hit.

In general the hardest bit of them is getting to the last boss.

That being said, I have been rewarded with 2 bits of armour that I don't need. It has allowed me to deconstruct them for parts to upgrade my chest plate though.
 
Just done a queens mission, found it easy , it was a level 24 mission I think with about 3 modifiers and I'm level 24 , I died a few times from some strong Harpys, but overall it was easy.

Went solo as well, guess I had one of the easier missions.

Earned a nice legendary chest armour piece:cool:
 
had a decent night, done a few of the Queens bounties and missions managed to get the Legendary Helmet drop twice but at least the 2nd time had better rolls for my titan.

Also got the legendary ship which looks a bit naff.

To top that off got my first exotic bounty tonight which looks like it will be the one for Super Good Advice (Exotic Machine Gun).

Pity i have to wait for Xur to come back to buy the item for it :p
 
It seems the queens missions are only dropping legendary helmets and chest for each class.

Worked for me because all I needed was a helmet. I broke down the rest for shards to upgrade my other gear.
 
Retried the queen mission again and got a different mission. The first queen mission i had was impossible and was the story mission where you go to destroy the black garden and all the statues get brought to life. Hundreds of 1 hit kill enemies and no ammo drops. It was insanely hard.

This time i got the moon mission that you destroy the onyx at the end. Felt like a walk in the park by comparison and i got my first legendary item!!! :D
 
The fallen levels are definitely the easiest. Cabal are by far the most challenging for me, but I blame only having a void shotgun so have no choice but to get in close to deal with the psions. Also the phalanxes don't flinch under fire making it more difficult.

Out of three missions I've had a helmet which I needed and 2 chest pieces which I didn't. Just need gauntlets for full legendary armour.

If i delete a lvl 20 character does the stuff i stored in the vault from said character get deleted as well ?
 
Does anyone know if the bonuses on armour stack? So if I have two parts with carry more auto rifle ammo, will they double up for an even larger ammo increase?
