Anyone know when the vanguard marks reset for strikes etc.? the 100 limit is pretty low for a week, I think I had them within 2 days. the only thing left after you have 100 is queen missions/bounties/raids really.
the video posted a couple posts up looks quite good though, all the extra content. Looks to be quite a few more strikes and new missions.
edit: got my first exotic bounty finally and the only gun that made sense to my play style was the machine gun, now I'm stuck with the unfinished bounty until xur returns.

A negative in my eyes.
It's already extremely simple and quick to level up and now they are making it more so.
Oh I'm not fussed about leveling up (level 27 now), I just want some decent weapons from engrams instead of getting terrible green/blue weapons.
The chances of getting legendary engram is hard enough as it is, so I think this will be more fair, rather than a double RNG, with the odds heavily against you.
As for me Warlock, I've spent the weekend to level my 23 Sunslinger into a level 26. So much easier now with a couple of the queens bounty (and I have 5 more to reroll and do for hopefully some nice weapons).
Ascendant Energy seems rare, Where you you guys getting them from? I kept getting Shard when doing events.

Yeah I use it, it tells you how much time you have.

The only two decent legendaries I got were for the other two flippin classes - I was raging!
I use that lots on PvP - especially in Skirmishes. At one point I was in a team of 2 other Sunslingers, resurrecting after resurrections!
Anyway, the timer is based on how long the next auto respawn is. Skirmishes/Crucible is 10 seconds, whilst No Respawn areas in PvE is only 3secs when everyone is down.

No way, I have put about 38 hours into this game grinding away on patrols,missions,strikes and have had only 3 purple engrams, of which only 2 were from random drops.
All of which turn to rare items which I don't want for a level 25, nearly 26 hunter.
If anything they should have awarded different items than a guaranteed legendary for the queens missions, perhaps hard to come by materials, as it felt a little to easy for a legendary after all the grinding.

It may well be 100% random like everything else in the game - but I have received 3 exocit bounties and on all 3 occasions I handed in 5 crucible bounties at once.
Those 3 times are the only 3 times I've done 5 crucible bounties at once.
I've done 5 vanguard bounties about 30 times at least over 3 characters and never received an exotic bounty.
As I say, could be just co-incidence and probably is but could be worth a shot.
For ascendent materials I just have 3 characters on the go so make sure to do a public event with each one every day. It's not exactly 'fast' but it gives you a fairly constant supply of them each day at least.
I now need 10 rare fusion rifles for the bounty - hopefully a vendor will sell some pretty soon. Just need to see Xur for the heavy machine gun one and already have enough coins for another weapon next weekend.
So wouldn't mind either hand cannon, scount rifle, sniper rifle or rocket launcher. Those are the 4 exotics I do't have (or nearly have)

bear in mind however as part of the patch they are re-balancing the Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy as Legendary status - currently they show up as blue.
What are the chances that come the patch, you will now be guaranteed a legendary, but that legendary has a chance of being a shard / energy.
Solves peoples problems of these being hard to come by (apart from buying or getting weapons / armour you don't want and dismantling them) and at the same time "ensures" you get a legendary item from your legendary engram - but without flooding the game with lots more legendary armor and weapons.
I've been offered two so far and each time was handing in multiple bounties at once. I wasn't doing 5, but doing more than one at once does seem to increase your chances.
only possible with armor that drops as part of the vault of glass raid. It has a higher light rating than the normal legendary stuff and doesn't have the limitations that exotic armor does.

Hmm, I don't think I've ever handed more than 3 or 4 in at a time and I've had the Pocket Infinity bounty and just got given the Thorn bounty. Maybe the chances increase the more you hand in on one day?

Legendaries (18): 5 upgrades | 6 AS x 3 | 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 (27)
Raid Legendaries (18): 5 upgrades | 7 AS x 3 | 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 (30)
Exotics (21): 4 upgrades | 8 AS x 2 | 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 (30)
So you essentially need 3 Raid Legendaries and 1 Exotic
I started a new class lastnight, Hunter, I'm at 11 so far and am trying my best to get to 20 and secure Queens Wrath armour before the event ends next week.
Just playing through story (again, uhhhhhh) and bounties (again, uhhhhh) to try and get me ranked up asap. I'm hoping you guys can help drag my arse through Queens Wrath missions with my measly level 20.
Quite enjoying the hunter, the golden gun comes in quite useful. Can definitely feel the weaker armour over the Titan however. The added agility feels good though.

Queens wrath is easy - just keep quitting the mission it gives you until you get the one on earth thats based upon the first level you do - but just with all the enemies doing lots more damage.
Its one room with a handful of enemies in which you can easily solo. After that its just about a rocket launcher to take out the archon that comes out of the wall.

Ah I see, cheers. Well at least I'll be Lvl 29 already then I can work on any Raid gear I get 1 at a time. Luckily, you could grind out al lthe upgrade materials you need, then only equip it when handing in bounties to level it up so you don't have to downgrade your level initially.
So guess the Raid content is deff something I need to get onto ASAP.
