Yesterday I downloaded Middle Earth to see how it ran on my 4 290Xs and it was buggy and total rubbish performance wise with negative scaling on the GPUs.

Today I tried it on my 4 Titans and shock and horror the performance was worse than on my 290Xs, the only good thing I could say about the NVidia cards was it was not glitch riddled but just rotten performance.

My question is when NVidia launch the Maxwell Titans early next year and I buy 4 of them, then try and run a TWIMTBP game and find out it does not run properly are NVidia taking the (put you own words here) out of me.

If NVidia claim a game is a TWIMTBP title, the least they can do is ensure something basic like SLI works properly.

I have not bothered posting any bench figures as it is the difference between very bad indeed and even worse lol.

Lol 4-way sli = basic, good one Kaap :D But I agree, if they put that stamp on a game it should be immediately playable. And anyway when a games studio releases a game it should work on modern hardware regardless of colour.

~£3000 worth of gpu and it runs like ****, if you encourage them by purchasing another 4, you only have yourself to blame no point moaning about it really.

I know how you feel though when it doesn't work, but the most I have spent is £500 on 7970/50 CrossFireX, 695/70 CrossFire-£380 and £320 on 290X CrossFire(all new) so it's a little bit easier to swallow than £3000.:)

TBh it seems neither side really support 4way that well especially with new releases, Have to agree with tommy vote with your wallet

In my experience they only release drivers day one or earlier if the game is unplayable or glitched in some way that spoils the enjoyment for everyday users. The main thing is that games tend to work without glitches upon release.

Multi GPU has always been high maintenance and dependent on drivers.

Defence stance doesn't take Kaaps pain away greg. ;)

What should I say? Did this need a new thread when it has been said enough in the VRAM Shocker thread? Even I moaned about nVidia for it and said it wasn't good enough so maybe jump down off that pedestal?

Yer Kaap, don't buy nVidia again mate. We can't have this kind of issue with a TWIMTBP title.

I mean if both/either side continues to have 4way issues dont buy four, not picking on nvidia or AMD here,, i recall a few threads about 4way not working great for games ,Yes i know to get the fps some want 4 is needed but i would settle for less personally

Nvidia defence is strong in this one.

He as a point, if a game is an Nvidia title a Gameworks title when both nvidia and dev work closely with the development you expect this to work.

Even amd don't have a driver released yet and there killing performance and it's not because of amd being better or faster is just nvidia drivers are poor in this one.

According to TB when he did is review a few days,it appears the Ultra setting does not work in reality ATM(its the same as high).

Texture quality is not great for the VRAM usage it appears.
