It's the tail end of 2014 and people still dont understand how lithium ion batteries work? the mind boggles… :(

Charge it often and it's just fine. As a matter of fact the battery prefers that to being depleted and then fully charge.

The fact that it starts charging automatically when you plug it into your laptop or pc should tell you that it's ok to charge it when ever you like.

I've had every iPhone since the 3G and the batteries have lasted for years, and I charge them when ever I feel like it.

My thoughts :p

Love using Touch ID and it feels so much more snappy and responsive than my HTC One. Apps load and are instantly useable. The curved edges of the screen make swiping so much better too.

Noob moment of the day

I spent about 10 minutes this morning trying to set up touch ID and couldn't get it to work. Came to the conclusion I must be some sort of mutant with deformed fingerprint less fingers.......

Until I realised I still had the plastic sleeve on :o

Just reserves an iPhone 6 at my local store.. anyone know how stringent they are on the 1 hour collection slot? Just been sent a work meeting invite that clashes with the pickup time so I'll probably be an hour late to get it. I can't find a contact email for the store and can't phone them at the moment..
I just came back from picking my reserved 6 up. It was 1:55 and my slot was for 2:00. The guy in front of me was talking to an employee because his slot was the 1:00-2:00 slot, and the Apple guy said "don't worry about it". The queue took less than 10 minutes and I had my phone.

TouchID is brilliantly implemented, I was so impressed with it. It's far better than I thought it would be.

Yeah at first I was like meh, seems like a gimmick, then a got a 5s for work and I was like this is half decent but a tad slow. on the iPhone 6 its stupidly fast, at times its instant, I've tested it by quickly putting my thumb and removing it. And it works 99% of the time, and as a user I don't need to swipe my finger or anything else stupid, like how the S5 does it is horrible.

Looks like Kingston-upon-Hull matey: KG4 is a postcode.
Thanks - then there's hope it'll meet the revised delivery estimate then :)

I did try enter KG4 into Google Maps but it came back with "Did you mean: KG4, Germany?". The first half of my own post code works as expected though.

Hull postcodes are HU so it's definitely not there!

I'm stunned that people are confusing battery memory with battery health. Just because Li-Ion doesn't need to be depleted and charged for good health doesn't mean constantly charging it won't reduce it's life.

Telling people to just whack it on charge when ever is irresponsible advice, it provides no distinction between two scenarios:
(a) putting it on charge at night regardless of percentage
(b) constantly cradle charging throughout the day; overnight + on the drive to work + at work + on the drive home + at home

You can't tell me the battery health in both scenareos would remain the same!

I can't wait to try it. Touch ID senses your finger without pressing the button and, after seeing a number of failed iPhone home buttons, I always thought they should use that feature to allow a 'home button press' without physically pressing it.

So 2 million chinese preorders in 6 hours - if launch hadnt been delayed they could have done 13m+ sales the other weekend. Staggering success. Again.

Yes it would. This is what I have done with all my iPhone's with no problems.

Does anyone else's iPhone get very hot? I picked up one today to have a play and see if it can win me over in the next 14 days or not but after setting the phone up and downloading some apps the phone got really hot. Got the iPhone 6 128gb model if that helps.

Also another thing, I've tried importing my SIM contacts, it will import most of them, but then at the bottom of the list it will display all the numbers again with no names. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
