*** Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ***

Your cell standby is higher than screen on time. Looks like you had around 2 hours screen on time? :p

Damn, it looks like the screen just went on mine. Everything was working fine, I used the phone a fair bit throughout the day today then I took it out to answer a text when out later this evening and noticed that the screen suddenly looked very washed out with vertical grey/white lines running down it and distorting it.

The phone had just been in my pocket (in a case) while I was sat in a restaurant and I have not dropped it or done anything out of the ordinary. I have since tried adjusting every display setting and have just factory reset the phone but nothing has worked, the screen has simply just gone.

Looks like I need to get on to Handtec or Sony on Monday to get this replaced, such a shame as otherwise I was very happy with the phone :(

Has anyone purchased one of the cheapo magnetic docks from the bay (of e) (181380098186), I figure there is no point paying £20+ if you don't have to.

I think I'm going to skip my nightly charge for the first time since... probably since my Xperia X1 (a 2007 Windows Mobile handset). 60% remaining, so I should make it to tomorrow night.

Yeah about two hours, just two typical working days though, my Note2 would have been lucky to get 24hours with the same usage.

It seems to be losing only 2% overnight which is where a lot of the savings are coming from

Got some Vikuiti 3M rear protectors this morning, really pleased actually. The cutouts are ok, and you can barely see its there but is now less slippy on the back.

Jesus, the Z1 compact is now £180 where I livve... guess that's made my mind up. :D

EDIT - Bought, woohoo!

Well I finally received it!

Love it. The screen is so much better than the Z2 screen ( I had one briefly but sent it back as the screen was stupid - not bright enough and could see the digitiser - AND I TRIED TWO!)

This screen is actually brighter than my HTC One's and their is no tint to it. Also cant see the digitiser.

screen looks sort of amoled in places. Sony have done a really good job this time around.

Icing on the cake is I got a £30 partial refund from Amazon as the box wasn't sealed so only cost me £250 in total!

Now I needs some recommendations on a magnetic charging cable and dock. WIll the cheap, non official ones suffice?

What does the + next to the battery indicator mean?

I wish this topic would get locked, the more you guys talk about this phone the more I want one. :p

Means that Stamina Mode is on.

The phone is epic in every sense of the word but size. Go on....get one, you wont regret it.

Easily the best phone I've had in ages and I've been through quite a few! :o

Ahh that makes sense. Nice way of showing it, used to annoy me on Samsung phones that the battery saving mode would add an icon to the far left of the status bar.

Yeah I am very very tempted, my Nexus 4 is still great but a better camera and battery life are awfully appealing.

I'm in a similar situation, almost wish my Nexus 4 would stop working so I could justify the purchase to myself! :)
