*** Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ***

I never keep my phones for long and always put screen protectors and cases on just to keep the resale value high as possible.

The Z3c is no exception and have done exactly that with a tempered glass protector at the front and a slim case just for added protection should the phone happen to slip from my hand.
 
I'll be ordering an ultimateshield (they get in stock later this week). Glass protectors I've always found to be ok - the only issue I've had with them is them cracking on the edges.

I bought the Ultimateshield and it's really good. Clarity is spot on and it installed very easily.

Highly recommend IMO
 
I tend to just download the latest screen protector direct from the phone manufacturer's website, as I don't like to change the look and feel of the phone.
 
I'm glad I finally realised there was an option in the Camera settings to save directly onto the SD Card...was getting annoying using the transfer files option over and over again :p

Seriously though, the only reason I'd get a protector is for the glass back if it is indeed as slippery as some people are suggesting, as I tend to keep my phone until it is not really worth reselling so not too bothered about maintaining value. Not sure how one glass thing can be more slippery than another though (re iPhone 4 back also being glass) - I suppose different quality polishes/finish could do it :confused:.

Had a look around town today to see the prices after work, £429 was the cheapest. Ridiculous how much of a mark up there is compared to online. Will order one later on tonight.

Lol I posted in the Z3 thread by mistake!!!
I decided to take the plunge and ordered a black Z3c from Clove.
Time to say bye bye to the Nokia 1020
 
Got a couple of cases, both work with the Magnector cable. Neither are really protective, they'll just save some spare you from some scratches and make it less slippery.

Terrapin gel (400775883739)
Bit loose around the cutouts for the microSD/USB flap and magnetic pins so it doesn't quite form a lip above the screen there, but better than a lot of these gel cases are. Makes the buttons harder to press, which is good for me as I kept operating them accidentally, especially the camera one.

Terrapin rubber (400779520942)
Hard plastic with a very, very slight rubber feeling. Fits okay but with all the cut-outs that don't cover the edge of the screen at top, bottom, and microSD/USB flap, it's less protective than the above one.
 
Got the Magnector X cable, really impressed with it. Charged the Z3c in no time plus the magnets REALLY are strong. You can dangle the phone off it and the cable doesn't detach from the Z3c.
