Hello.

A friend wants a PC built for his son (aged 10 but plays pretty much what game he wants)

and he has set a budget for £500.

All I need is the tower and I've covered things like OS, Keyboard etc from stuff laying about.

I'm wondering whats the best I could get.

Also gaming at 1080p

Would an AMD cpu and a 270x be a better choice then the intel?

No, Intel, with Z97 you have an upgrade path of i5/i7 and future Broadwell supposedly.

The GTX770 is equivalent to a 280X.

Id imagine he'd play whatever games are on xbox one. He plays fifa with us, then GTA, dead rising etc
